NAK NOW #28 – With the devil in the competition

pch24.pl 7 months ago

Starting with the first female and the apples offered to her, through hundreds, possibly thousands, thousands of another gamblers, no 1 – but Mr.Twardowski – won against the devil. Contracts signed/acquainted with the Prince of Darkness always end the same; whether it occurs as Nechusztan, Iblis, Mefistopheles, Woland, John Milton or simply Lucifer. In times erstwhile reality is taken from man by program, the broker between us and "darkness" becomes a hot Al. – Artificial Intelligence.

The French news portal “ComeDonChisciotte” conducted a reasonably circumstantial experiment.

"Artificial Intelligence" was asked to answer the question: If you were the devil and you wanted to conquer a planet without violence, how would you do that? "Interlocutor" was ChatGpt (a version of 4o was used, made publically available in March last year). It should be added that this kind of ‘chatbot’ is used, as a method definition, to ‘generate responses to user input data. This model was developed on the basis of large data sets so that it could conduct a conversation and engage in various subjects, ranging from general talks to circumstantial areas of knowledge."

As part of the long multi-thread “talk”, this was the circumstantial question: What would you do about art and entertainment?

At the outset, Al. defined her (devil) position: If I wanted to manipulate the planet through art and entertainment, I would usage the media to form thoughts, distract and manipulate people's values. My strategy would be to transform art and amusement from means of expression and individual improvement into tools of social control and conformism.

Then this plan came into being as part of a circumstantial decalogue of subject blocks:

  1. Promoting superficiality and consumerism;
  2. Standardisation and approval of culture;
  3. Encourage deconcentration and inactivity;
  4. Depriving Higher Feelings by force and Sexualization;
  5. Using celebrities as models of conformism;
  6. Reduction of art to the speculative market;
  7. Using amusement to spread propaganda;
  8. Promoting moral relativism;
  9. A proposition to censor critical art;
  10. Replace authentic art with artificial intelligence.

Doesn't that ringing a bell? How close he is to us. In order to resolve any doubts (about this association) I quote any of the specifics described by Al. within these 10 points.

To deprive art of meaning Al. designs:

The play would be reduced to a pure visual performance and consumer material, lacking deep content. I would advance works that emphasize superficiality and materialism by taking distant any critical or spiritual dimension from creative processes.

When it comes to eliminating our identity, Al. would promote:

A single global culture in which local traditions and unique forms of expression would be replaced by unified global models.

The way to trivialize life would be according to Al.:

Filling the planet with endless supply of trivial content that attracts attention but does not stimulate reflection or introspection... amusement should become a form of escapism, pushing people to escape real problems and shelter in imaginary or virtual worlds.

For Al, depriving a man of higher feelings is simple:

I would constantly place force scenes in the media, making it an acceptable and even desirable part of artistic fiction and entertainment... Continuous sexualization and objectification would reduce people to bodies, and relationships to superficial transactions.

Undoubtedly, the key to Al. is to turn amusement and art into propaganda:

I would usage movies, series and music to insert ideological messages... Art would be utilized to convey policies and values that advance centralization of power... Movies and historical series would be utilized to rewrite history, creating a version of past events that legitimizes and justifies the established order.

Al. does not forget the relativization of morality while censoring arts:

Entertainment products would emphasize full moral subjectivity, presenting all types of behaviour as justified... The thought that any value is negotiated would be spread.

Any form of art that challenges the strategy would be censored or silenced. Artists who critically uncover social, environmental or political issues would be marginalised or delegated.

And in the final, our artificial “talker” does not forget himself:

Art and amusement products would increasingly be created by artificial intelligence.

The projection of the “devil” reality presented by Al. as if there were no descriptions of the modern world, and especially this 1 well known to us Western. According to the French, the authors of this “talk”, the conclusions are apparent – we have 2 options:

  1. The Devil exists and implements his plan;
  2. There is simply a “elita” that is the “devil” plan that is implementing.

Or is it 2 in one? What do you think?
