Let us imagine that we have twice the cost of electricity and that we are gaining competitive advantages over another countries in Europe and can start competing with countries in America and Asia.
Only a photograph of the ETS charge would cut electricity production costs by half. Even by burning more costly Polish coal and maintaining old and utilized coal blocks we can get this effect. With appropriate reforms, we could enjoy even cheaper energy and avoid costly investments in weather-related RES, energy retention and redevelopment of the network, which are an integral part of the badly planned energy transition, we would have the resources to truly modernise the economy and infrastructure.
It would be wonderful for our economy and our ability to gain wealth. Unfortunately, as long as we are mindlessly copying the recommendations of Eurocrats and lobbyists, so long energy will be expensiveand its generation and availability are getting smaller.
Below is simply a map of today's place prices. It is interesting that prices average almost all over Europe regardless of the differences in issuance. Only Scandinavia has lower prices due to the dominance of unchangeable sources in the system.
