Most Poles sceptically measure Donald Tusk's government, as well as the character of the Prime Minister, is based on CBOS research. The polls show the coldness of the attitude of the utmost voters of the Left to the current government.
The support for the government is declared by 34% of respondents (a decrease of 1 percent point compared to the erstwhile survey), as opponents is 39% (an increase of 1 percent point); 24 percent declares indifference (an increase of 1 percent point), 3 percent has no opinion (a decrease of 1 percent point), results from investigation on political preferences conducted by the Social Opinion investigation Centre.
As compared to September, notes CBOS, the assessment of the government's activities has comparatively worsened. The percent of affirmative assessments decreased (37%, 3 points decrease), while the number of negative opinions remains unchanged – 48% of respondents are critical of the office's work. More people than before do not have a precise opinion on this subject (15 percent, 3 percent increase).
Women (39 percent affirmative reviews) have a somewhat better opinion about the performance of the government than men (35 percent), which is peculiarly evident in the level of criticism (50% negative opinions among men and 45%).
According to CBOS, among supporters of individual political groups, the results of the current government's activities are most favourably seen by voters of the Civic Coalition (91%). Supporters of another parties forming the government coalition besides justice them positively – much better voters of the 3rd Way (61%) than left (48%). In fresh months in the electorate of the Left, the percent of votes critical of Donald Tusk's government's performance has risen markedly (23 percent in August, 32 percent in September and 43 percent in October).
Supporters of Law and Justice and the WiN Confederation have a vast majority of negative assessments of government performance (90 and 83% of critical votes respectively).
According to CBOS, acceptance for Donald Tusk as Prime Minister decreased as compared to September. Satisfied with the fact that he is acting as head of government, he declares more than 1 3rd of the respondents (36 percent, drop by 2 points). Like last month, half of adult Poles are not happy that Donald Tusk is Prime Minister (50%, unchanged). The percent of people with no clear opinion increased (by 2 percent points, to 14 percent)
Respondents were besides asked to measure the economical policy of the government.
According to CBOS, 38 percent positively evaluates the economical policy of the government and is of the opinion that it creates good economical prospects (a decrease of 1 percent point). A different opinion on this subject has a higher percent – almost half of the adult Poles believe that the policy of the current government does not offer a chance of improving the economical situation (48 percent, decrease by 1 point). Compared to September, the percent of people who do not have a circumstantial opinion on the substance increased to the most (by 3 points, to 14 percent).
The survey was conducted as part of a mixed-mode procedure on a typical example of adult Polish residents drawn from the PESEL register. The survey was conducted on 3-13 October on a example of 1025 people (including: 59.9% CAPI, 24.7% CATI and 15.4% CAWI).
