Officers of the Bieszczady Border defender Branch detained a 44-year-old Turkish citizen who was wanted by the Italian judiciary for the European Arrest Warrant. A man suspected of being active in the migration to Italy. He's facing 20 years in prison.
According to PAP, the BOSG press spokesperson Cf. Piotr Zakielarz, Turek was stopped erstwhile he wanted to enter Poland from Ukraine through the crossing in Korczowa.
– During the audit, Border defender officers detected that the man was in an interest in Italian justice. The authorities there issued a European Arrest Warrant for arrest and extradition. – he added.
The man is suspected of participating in the migration to Italy, and is facing up to 20 years imprisonment. As Lieutenant Zakielarz pointed out, the foreigner was detained and brought to the prosecution. – By decision of the court, he was arrested for 2 months. At that time, extradition proceedings will be conducted He stressed.
Since the beginning of the year, officers of the Bieszczady Branch of the SG have already retained over 50 people who are curious in Polish and abroad collection bodies. These were persons wanted for various types of offences, including dangerous criminals wanted under ENA and Interpol's red notes.
