Krzysztof Bosak one more time set himself up as a commentator who not only reviews the ideas of the ruling and opposition, but besides clearly declares that his environment does not intend to participate in political puzzles.
In his last speech, the Confederate co-chair powerfully criticized both Donald Tusk and Jarosław Kaczyński. In his opinion, the actions of both leaders are detached from the seismic reality and have no chance of success.
“This is simply a sphere of political fantasy,” Bosak said.
A direct pretext for these words was Donald Tusk's announcement, which he announced on Monday that he would appeal to the Sejm for a vote of assurance for his government. In turn, PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński suggested the request to make a method government, composed of non-political experts. Both initiatives were rejected by Bosak as frivolous – the Tusk government does not deserve trust, and Kaczyński's thought has no majority.
"We will vote against the vote of assurance for the Tusk government," Bosak announced. “The ideas for a constructive vote of distrust and the method government are irrelevant due to the fact that there is no majority in the Sejm for them.”
On the 1 hand, it is the voice of reason – Bosak is right that no of the current concepts find support in seismic arithmetic. But on the another hand, his position may seem comfortable to individual who criticizes everything without offering an alternative. This is simply a low-risk strategy, but besides a limited impact.
Bosak pointed out that his parliamentary club does not exclude support for shortening the Sejm's word of office – if the current majority actually falls apart. This is the only concrete step the Confederate is considering for the moment.
"If the ruling majority breaks down, the Confederate is ready to vote to shorten the Sejm's word of office," he declared.
Bartłomiej Pejo, a associate of the Confederate Leaders Council, spoke in a akin tone. Although somewhat more open to considering the thought of an expert government, it besides does not see the real conditions for its implementation.
"It would be possible to consider them if it were actually a sensible solution and if the motion for a vote of assurance against the government had fallen," he said. – “I say this in my own name, not on behalf of the club.”
Pejo besides added that in his opinion present there are no substantive specialists in the government in Poland, and their emergence in the future could be a real change for the better.
"I am always a supporter of the fact that public functions are carried out by substantive persons, by professionals."
Against the background of another groups, the Confederate seeks to keep the image of critical formation against dominant parties, but independent. The problem is that this criticism is increasingly based on diagnosis alternatively than proposals. While the deficiency of a majority for various initiatives is right, it does not come up with its own thought of how to solve the political deadlock in practice.
From a broader policy perspective, the statements of the Confederate leaders show how much the political scene got stuck in the stalemate and the common blocking of forces. Tusk wants to confirm the unity of the coalition – which can be a sign of concern about its sustainability. Kaczyński proposes a method government – even though there are no majority and real chances of establishing it. The Confederate looks at it at a distance, but does not move.
So if the "favorite sphere" is the correct word – it is not only about Tusk and Kaczyński. It besides includes politicians who refuse to participate in the game but do not build anything next to it. The realism that Bosak uses only makes sense erstwhile it leads to an alternative. Otherwise, it only becomes a comment from the stands.
