he XIVl krzMany conservative publicists, commentators and priests welcomed with large joy the first speeches of Pope Leon XIV. It is so bizarre that the fresh Pope fundamentally repeats the line of Pope Francis. So Francis is trampled into the ground for what Leon XIV is praised for. This unfair assessment must be opposed.
In his programme speech, the Pope called for "an increase in collegiality and synodality", referred to Francis's mastership, explicitly called for a "renewal of full adherence to the road" which the Second Vatican Council set out.
His first pontifical Mass clearly referred to the liturgical novelty begun by Paul VI at the Second Vatican Council, it was a Mass "concelebrated" with respective chalices which suggested a feast alternatively than 1 Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ and 1 Sacrificer. In the light of conventional Catholic doctrine, the concelebra is permitted only in the case of priestly ordination.
Homilia Leona XIV was regarded as “christocentric” and makes a conventional impression. However, he wonders why the Pope referred only to the teaching of the Second Vatican Council and left out earlier master's documents. The claim that Leon XIV's pontificate would deviate from the Francis line is unfounded and counterfactual.
Leon XIV as Bishop of Provost had completely failed during the pandemic. Not only did he introduce confession via the Internet, but he besides ordered the receiving of Holy Communion on his hand, and he besides closed most churches (https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/5-worrying-things-you-need-to-know-about-leo-xvi/).
Yeah, but there's an argument that Leon XIV is sympathetic and warm, and what's more a man of peace. With these claims, I do not intend to enter into a polemic due to the fact that they do not prove anything and do not bring anything into discussion.
Soon a test will come for the fresh pope, in the form of a request made by the Brotherhood of Saint Pius X, in which the bishop late died. The FSSPX will apply for approval to consecrate the bishop, in case the Brotherhood refuses to stand against the wall, due to the old age and the number of clergymen who can give priestly ordination to the seminarians of this assembly.
Are we going to have a war with the Pius X Brotherhood and another excommunication, so going back to the times before Benedict XVI?
If the card. Parrolin agreed that the Communist organization of China could appoint bishops, so how friendly should the Pope look at the Brotherhood of Pius X?
The fresh Pope is an expert canonist, so he should know that the current canon law does not supply excommunication for the bishop if he claims to be acting in a state of higher necessity:
The individual who thinks, without faultthat the circumstances provided for by canon 1323 No. 4 and No. 5 are taking the view that the law or order is so, is not subject to any penalty.
The offender of the breach is not free of penalty, but the punishment provided for in the Act should be mitigated or replaced by penance if the offence was committed by 1 who was mistakenly convinced that there was 1 of the circumstances concerning which canon 1323 No 4 or No 5 (Canon 1324 §1 No 8).
Thus, even if the bishop of the Brotherhood were mistakenly convinced of the state of the Church's crisis, in case he made a bishopial consecration without the Vatican's approval, he does not automatically incur excommunication.
We will see how the fresh Pope can cope with the challenge that awaits him, if he succeeds, he will give us hope that the Catholics' war with Catholics will yet end, otherwise the demons of the past will return again.
