Illegal immigration from Guinea and Iran placed in a kid home in Skierniewice. Residents protest

Three immigrants went to 1 of the children's homes in Skierniewice, who illegally crossed the border with Poland. Men do not carry documents, but declared that they are under 18. Thus, it was considered that this local kid home would be a suitable place to stay.

The child's home in Skierniewice is to become the fresh home of 3 young immigrants from Guinea and Iraq. Men were sent there and delivered by the Border Guard. The authorities of the facility where the immigrants were visited do not hide surprise and point to any problems related to the presence of young men from Africa and the mediate East in the home where Polish children are staying.

"The manager has been put in a hard situation. Children who live there have no sense of security. It's hard for them all to find out. This is simply a fresh situation for them, and from what they said very difficult" – reports Alderman Skierniewice Artur Sułek.

He adds that 2 immigrants have no papers on them. The 3rd had a paper on him, but it was inactive impossible to confirm whether it was real or fake. All 3 detained men said they were under 18. It was so considered that they should go to a child’s home and that the institution should receive them and supply care.

It is worth noting that the directorate of the kid home is not convinced that immigrants are little than 18 years old. "After declaring that they are minors, a wrist thickness test was reported to have been performed, which showed that they could be around 17 years old. The manager says it is very hard to measure whether they are children or adults. Nevertheless, at first they went to a safe facility, and after this survey they were transferred to a kid home in Skierniewice," says Councillor Skierniewice Artur Sułek.

In view of the situation, the local committee of opposition to halt CIC to bring illegal immigrants to Skierniewice has joined the city. Residents do not agree to make in the city a point of the Centre for the Integration of Foreigners and settle in it visitors from Africa or the mediate East.
