In fresh days, the Border defender has carried out a number of actions which consequence in forced leave of Poland by foreigners violating the laws or having no required documents.
Among them were 5 Georgian citizens who flew to Katowice-Pyrzowice from Kutaisi. During the border inspection, they were incapable to supply papers confirming the intent and conditions of the intended stay. As a result, the Commandant of the Border defender Service issued decisions against them about refusing to enter Poland. By the time of departure, they were directed to places designated by the Border Guard. 2 of them had already left on 28 May, while the 3 others were to leave Poland 2 days later.
Also on May 28, a Georgian citizen was detained in Poznań, who had been in Poland illegally since February, ignoring the earlier decision to return. He was deported and banned from entering the Schengen area for six months. On the same day, SG officers detained 33-year-old Ukrainians who were repeatedly punished, including for driving despite a judicial ban and under the influence of alcohol. He was besides deported, with a five-year ban on re-entry. On 30 May, at the request of the Police, officers from Opole expelled a 28-year-old Ukrainian citizen who repeatedly violated the law – he was arrested 8 times for theft and was liable for drug offences. He was subject to a 10-year ban on entering Poland.
The cases described are evidence of effective cooperation between the Border defender and the Police in controlling the legality of abroad residence. Enforcement and consistent action against those breaking the law are intended not only to defend public order, but besides to increase the safety of all citizens of the country. The Border defender announces the continuation of this kind of action in the close future, especially towards those who effort to circumvent migration rules or pose a real threat to order and security.
