During the ceremony on the occasion of the National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers in Warsaw's Łączka, president Andrzej Duda gave a speech in which he emphasized the importance of Poland's independency and the threats that could endanger it.

In his speech, he repeatedly referred to forces that, according to him, hinder the improvement of the country and undermine its sovereignty. Analyzing the President's statements, it can be concluded that his words mostly criticise Donald Tusk's government and his policies.

In his speech, president Duda referred to the past of Poland, reminding that the country was repeatedly in danger and was subject to external and interior attacks. He stated that past tends to repeat itself, suggesting that now Poland may face akin challenges again.

– I call upon my fellow Americans to look to their eyes and realize what this game is about. See how many times in our past Poland was in danger and who attacked us. And learn from it. past repeats itself. This is not a joke," stressed president Duda.

These words can be read as a informing against present threats, both external and internal. In the context of the current political situation in Poland, these warnings may concern the government of Donald Tusk, whose policy is frequently criticized by the presidential camp as being subject to abroad interests.

The president pointed out that there are inactive people in Poland who are "free and strong Poland is hindering". His words about large investments, which he thought were blocked or deliberately slowed down, sounded peculiarly strongly.

– Do not think that erstwhile large investments are stopped in Poland, it is simply a coincidence. Do not think that erstwhile individual slows down the construction of a gas-port in Świnoujście and builds it for 8 years, although it can be built in two, it is simply a coincidence," said the President.

It is hard not to announcement that this message is simply a clear allusion to delays related to the construction of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście, which was carried out during the Po-PSL rule. At that time, the investment process was indeed prolonged, which was later utilized by the Platform's political opponents as an example of inability and inefficiency.

Duda besides talked about strategical defence investments, which he believes are essential to defend Poland from possible aggression. He suggested that their deliberate hold could be an action to the detriment of the State.

– Don't think that erstwhile individual stops large investments needed to make it possible to transport allies from the United States and from the west of Europe to Poland in the event of an attack, it is simply a coincidence. This is never an accident – he warned.

Although the president has not mentioned any names or circumstantial institutions, his words may be interpreted as referring to the policy of the Tusk Government, which in the past has been accused of tardiness in defence matters and overly submissive to Germany and the European Union.

Later on, the president focused on socio-cultural issues, referring to ideological changes in Europe and in the world.

– all day we fight to halt the march of the civilization of death, which wants to destruct the household that wants to build a fresh man, destroying the full tradition in which we were raised for years," said Duda.

These are further words that can be addressed to political dispute in Poland. Donald Tusk's government advocates progressive changes in human rights, European integration and equality policies, which conservative environments, including Duda, mention to as "death civilization".

In the final part of the speech, the president referred to politics and future elections. He stressed that a wise and patriotic policy was needed to prosecute Polish interests.

I'm asking you to choose politicians who think so. I say this by ending my presidential service, but not retiring yet. due to the fact that if you always think that Poland needs me again, I will always be at your disposal – he pointed out.

These words can be interpreted as a call for voters not to support politicians who, according to the President, do not care about Poland's sovereignty. Again, this can be read as a informing against the governments of Donald Tusk and his group.

Statements by president Andrzej Duda, although not straight referring to any peculiar individual or party, seem to powerfully propose criticism of Donald Tusk's government policy. His allusions to blocking investments, safety issues and the protection of conventional values sounded peculiarly strongly. Duda warned against repeated threats to Poland, which, in his opinion, could consequence from actions of certain political groups.

His speech can so be interpreted as an effort to mobilise society to reflect on who should regulation Poland in the future and what values should be the basis of political decisions taken.
