Data The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy increased the amount paid to immigrants under the 800+ programme. In 2024 Poles spent as much as PLN 3.4 billion on benefits for abroad children, most of which went to Ukrainians.
The amounts of allowances paid to Ukrainians increased dramatically. In consequence to the parliamentary interpelling, a typical of the ministry revealed the ZUS data, showing the degree of abroad nationals' usage of the service. In 2022, under the “Family 500+”, the amount of payments for immigrants amounted to PLN 2.07 billion. In 2023 it was PLN 2.13 billion. The cost increase occurred last year erstwhile the amount of the benefit was raised to PLN 800. In 2024 the full amount allocated to foreigners reached PLN 3.4 billion.
The vast majority of beneficiaries are Ukrainian citizens. It was only from this period that a limitation was introduced to pay the benefits exclusively to parents who send children to the Polish school. This means that for almost 3 years Ukrainians took benefits for people who lived outside Poland, or did not attend classes. Unfortunately, not all gotta meet this condition. It does not apply to the youngest children who are not yet under school obligation, and so it is inactive possible to take 800+ on children surviving in Ukraine aged 0-6 years.
Nevertheless, due to the introduction of the above condition, the number of 800+ payouts for Ukrainian fraudsters decreased significantly. The actual scale of inheritance will not be revealed until in the study in 2025.
The government prepares further restrictions on granting the benefit to 800+ foreigners. The Ministry of the Interior and Administration is preparing a draft law on the verification of the right to benefits for the household for foreigners and any another laws, which was submitted at the end of April to the list of legislative work of the government. The task provides that the professional activity of the parent will be a condition for obtaining the benefit. This work would be imposed on all foreigners, but citizens of EU countries, Israel and the United Kingdom.
OUR COMMENTS: Propagandically, the 500+ program was intended to increase fertility among Poles. In practice, thanks to the actions of the PO-PiS governments, the children collapsed and the program is utilized to transfer Polish money into the pockets of immigrants. It is 1 of the incentives to support mass immigration into our country from the "third world".
