Tino Chrupalla, 1 of the leaders of the right-wing alternate for Germany (AfD), the second most popular organization in Germany, believes that Russia has already won the war in Ukraine, meaning that “the German government must yet scope the point where it will want to end the war”.

In a diary interview ‘Die Welt“ Tino Chrupalla said: “Russia won this war. The reality caught up with those who claim to want to enable Ukraine to win the war.”

AfD is 1 of the 2 parties that condemned the sending of German military aid to Ukraine, as well as EU sanctions on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine almost 3 years ago.

This, in part, AfD's position on the war made it the first in the fresh regional elections in east Thuringia and second in 2 another east states – Saxony and Brandenburg. The right received about a 3rd of all votes in all 3 states. The second organization against the hawk attitude is the left-wing nationalist Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht, who besides achieved good results in these elections, taking 3rd place in all 3 states.

AfD wants a peaceful diplomatic solution to the war and believes that NATO – a military alliance of which Germany is part – must take account of Russia's interests, otherwise Germany will gotta re-evaluate its membership of NATO.

NATO is not presently a defence alliance. The defence community must accept and respect the interests of all European countries, including the interests of Russia. If NATO can't supply this, Germany must consider to what degree this alliance is inactive useful to us.

Chrupalla stated that "Europe has been forced to prosecute America's interests", which the AfD opposes.

Chrupalla warned German citizens that the vote for Friedrich Merz, head of the centre-right CDU party, would mean “a vote for war‘. Merz, whose CDU leads in 31% polls, promised to send the Taurus long-range rocket to Ukraine if he became Chancellor. The current Chancellor, Social politician Olaf Scholz, whose organization has 17% of support in the polls, is more cautious and rejects rockets in fear of provoking Russia.

Parliamentary elections will take place on 23 February, and founded eleven years ago, AfD is on track to accomplish the best consequence so far, as it presently has 20% of support in the polls. There is no chance of joining the government due to the fact that all another parties have rejected cooperation with this party, but its good results will reflect the voters' desire to tighten immigration control policy and a more sober strategy towards the geopolitical interests of the West Germany.

"If I look at how the German government reacted to the attack on Nord Stream – with full silence – I gotta ask myself: to what degree we are a sovereign country," said Tino Chrupalla, referring to the sabotage of pipelines moving between Russia and Germany.
