What do the letters from ZUS contain?
According to ZUS on Friday (13 June), pensioners receive decisions concerning:
- increased benefit after valorisation by 5.5%,
- payment of an additional yearly benefit (13th retirement) of PLN 1878.91 gross.
"In the first decision we gave the amount of the benefit after March valorisation, as well as the amount of the contribution collected and the advance on income tax. We are obliged to supply specified information to the recipients" - explained ZUS.
Average pension in Poland is growing
According to the latest ZUS data, average pension in 2024 is PLN 4198.58, while last year it was PLN 3862.61. Over the last 12 months, the number of pensioners has increased by 100,000.and presently ZUS supports 6.361 million people.
What is the valorisation of pensions?
Valorisation is process of adjusting pensions to inflationto preserve their real value. It gives pensioners higher salaries, which is to defend them from falling purchasing power.
