The Second planet War brought not only large material losses to Poland, but besides immense losses of prominent people, creating Polish technological and engineering thought. This group is fundamentally forgotten by Polish public opinion director, engineer and inventor Kazimierz Prószyński (1875-1945).
Kazimierz Prószyński – an outstanding Polish engineer, was the boy of a modest lawyer and educational activist. He was born on 4 April 1875 in Warsaw. During his studies at the Polytechnique in Liege (Belgium) in 1894 he constructed 1 of the first pre-kinematic movie cameras for photographs and projections, the alleged pleographer.
Since 1896, the Polish inventor has been conducting studies, wishing to destruct the pain of the creators of the first films, namely those occurring during the screening of image vibration. As a consequence of his research, he created a biopleograph, equipped with 2 lenses and 2 movie tapes, alternately throwing images on the screen. This did not consequence in a visible break in the light.
From 1902 to 1903, Prószyński prepared the first shorts showing Warsaw. Among these films are the “Françanska Street”, “Aleje Ujazdowskie”, “Slizgawka in Łazienki”.
In 1910, Prószyński constructed the first hand-held movie camera for reporter photos – the alleged aeroscope. This invention found its usage in the first air chronicle of fighting on the Western Front during planet War I. To this day, fewer know that Pole was behind this invention.
In 1919, he returned to the country where he participated in his reconstruction and improvement of our method thought. During the Second planet War, he undertook conspiracy activities against the German occupier. He was arrested by the Germans during the Warsaw Uprising. On August 22, 1944, he was taken to a German concentration camp in Gross-Rosen. He was then transported to a camp in Mauthausen-Gusen. There he died of exhaustion shortly before liberation, March 13, 1945.
At a time erstwhile our Homeland is accused of allegedly cooperating with German Nazis, it is our work to remind the public of the victims of the Polish nation, who, for their attachment to Poland, died in suffering believing that their sacrifice of life will bring power to the beloved Homeland in the future.
