Witold Juras: We invested a lot in Ukraine, but we stayed on the car

"[most likely] we have just learned that Poland has completely and most likely yet fallen out of the diplomatic game, which will find the conditions under which the war will end," comments analyst Witold Juras, partially classified Volodymir Zelenski's plan at the end of the war behind our east border.

The author of the text on the Onet portal looked, as far as possible, at a paper consisting of 5 points and 3 secret annexes. However, according to him, the most crucial thing in the message of the president of Ukraine is what has not been presented, in common, "coffee on the bench".

The first apparent point is simply a repetition of the mantra repeated by Kiev for a long time. It is about inviting Ukraine to join NATO, a request that has already gained designation from respective North Atlantic Pact countries.

The second postulate means the further transportation of weapons and the free hand in its use. Given the fresh discussions in the North Atlantic Alliance, this would include the anticipation of attacking targets in Russia.

‘The 3rd point describes Non-nuclear Russia's deterrence and, as can be concluded from the text of the speech, concerns the dislocation of Western allies' military units in Ukraine," says Witold Jurash.

Fourth, Zelenski stressed the importance of economical cooperation after the end of the armed conflict.

Strangely, though, is the number 5 proposal. Ukraine would replace its branches with parts of US units that presently have their bases in Europe. And these would hit Ukraine. "This idea, however, is questionable, due to the fact that it would be easier for the West to communicate with Russia in general, if European and not American units were to go to Ukraine, or those to which Moscow reacts exceptionally allergicly," the author points out.

The sound of the plan means, according to Witold Juras, that Kiev – aware of its inability to return to the 1991 borders – no longer demands the inviolability of its territory before the war, but only assumes the option of a "security guarantee".

"However, from the Polish position the most crucial are secret annexes to the second, 3rd and 4th points of the plan. With respect to point two, president Zelenski stated that the annex was acquainted with those countries which have appropriate military support potential. Poland is almost surely not among them, due to the fact that our country has already passed on what it could say to Ukraine" – we read.

About the annex to the 3rd point we learn that it has come to the news of the United States, large Britain, France, Italy and Germany. In turn, besides a secret addition to the 4th – most likely the G7 Group, which is mentioned above, and Japan and Canada.

"All of this most likely means that we have just learned that Poland has completely and most likely yet fallen out of the diplomatic game, which will decide on what conditions the war will end" - the analyst points out.

"The question to which Polish public opinion must be answered by politicians and experts who have co-founded both during the regulation of the Law and the current power, our east policy is how, having invested so much in Ukraine's support, we have not only not only not only the best relations with Kiev, but besides we are not among the partners of the key plan," added Juras.
