The ten-year presidency of Andrzej Duda is coming to an end. Despite various faults and faults, she could not be judged wrong. Unfortunately, 2 years ago, the president made an unexpected pregnancy decision with disastrous consequences.
President Andrzej Duda – I compose this with quite a few regret – failed believing voters and, above all, failed the Catholic Church. Yes, he has repeatedly defended the natural order, rejecting left-wing ideas that appeared in public space. Sadly, 3 times he refused to or could not defy evil, which in 1 case resulted in lamentable consequences. I profoundly hope that his successor at the Presidential Palace will express his firm attachment to the religion of the Church during his rule.
Strange change of constitution
In 2015, the 2nd circular of the presidential election put a alternatively apparent choice before the believing Poles. Bronisław Komorowski did not appear to be a peculiarly zealous rainbow revolutionary; however, he was an exhibitor of the Liar-Conservatives of the Civic Platform. In fact, he gave this strong expression, shortly before the end of his word of office signing the in vitro Act, which allowed the state budget to pay for this terrible procedure, which involves inseparably freezing human embryos and yet killing them. That is why, like most Catholic voters, I voted for the PiS candidate at the time.
At first there was no reason to complain, of course from the position of public morality. Something unusual didn't happen until 2019. The president then announced that he would like to enter membership of the European Union and NATO in the Polish Constitution. NATO is simply a military alliance and our presence in it has its undoubted advantages, although whether it should be recorded in the Constitution is simply a separate issue. But... the European Union?! After all, in 2015 it was already apparent to everyone that Brussels is aiming at the strongest possible limitation of Polish sovereignty and instilling us with the full revolutionary liberal agenda – from the deprivation of us to the Polish goldsmith, by imposing homosexual pseudo-marriage to the instigated abortionism. How could a liable Catholic president support the inclusion of our membership of this organization in the Constitution, although this would clearly weaken our position in negotiations with EU officials?
Fortunately – nothing came of it, there was not the right majority, and the subject lived rather briefly. Years later, this initiative can be treated more as a propaganda gesture, calculated to silence all those who claimed that the Law and Justice Office would "bring Poland out of the EU" any minute now. possibly Andrzej Duda never thought seriously about carrying out his proposal, although, I admit, my heart trembled...
Unhappy bill on abortion
Also in 2020, the choice in the second circular did not truly exist. Despite being compromised with the European Union, Andrzej Duda appeared to be an incomparably better candidate than the far left activist, Rafał Trzaskowski. Therefore, it was essential to do the same as 5 years earlier: through Andrzej Duda, in the hope that as a believer Catholic he would stand defender over the civilization order.
Unfortunately, in this second word the president seriously failed – and twice. The first major test came after the judgement of the Constitutional Court of October 2020, which decided against the constitution of killing sick children. In the face of crazy black protests, the president defended the decision of the Court, but at the same time... he passed a bill to the Sejm that would introduce the anticipation of killing children if they were found to be illegible.
If it had been accepted, abortionists could have killed children if doctors had said that the kid would not have survived anyway. Theoretically, it was to meet women who could be traumatized erstwhile they heard that during pregnancy they had become "trumples" – a pro-abortional fewer giving a speech to the full left side of the debate utilized that language. Life, however, must not be taken distant – never, in any situation, even if doctors fishy a kid of fatal illness. More than that, these suspicions don't always work. It happens that a kid who was to be born with severe defects and die in a minute is born completely healthy.
The President's bill was yet not taken up at all and hence his proposal did not enter into force. present it can be said that, against the background of a large part of the Law and Justice, Andrzej Duda was inactive “conservative”: any of the activists of the Jarosław Kaczyński organization claim that the judgement of the Court was a mistake and that the abortion “compromise” should be restored, which allowed to freely kill children with Down syndrome, for example. In 2023 it was in the subordinate wellness department of the Law and Justice regarding the designation of a woman's intellectual wellness threat as a adequate condition to kill the child, as Minister Adam Niedzielski at the time spoke.
Andrzej Duda did not want to go so far, but – anyway – his proposal in the autumn aimed at worsening the protection of life against the condition introduced by the Court. I can imagine what led the head of state: it was most likely the desire to calm the highly bloated emotions of parts of society. The problem is that these emotions have warmed up so much, due to the fact that the Court's decision was made without appropriate public preparation. The function of the president cannot be to defend public order if the price is to be the life of 1 citizen, let the unborn and the sick.
Bioethical Disaster
The real drama took place in 2023, after the parliamentary elections won by the unfortunate coalition on 13 December. The parliamentary majority, with the participation of the left-wing PiS faction, adopted the Act on In vitro Financing from the State Budget on 29 November.
It seemed apparent that Andrzej Duda – a associate of the Catholic Church – would not sign this bill. In 2015, he criticized Bronisław Komorowski for supporting him in vitro.
Archbishop Stanislaw Gądecki, then president of the Polish Episcopal Conference, sent a peculiar letter to the president. In the text, Poznań metropolitan explained very clearly what the evil method is in vitro. He recalled first of all that this method is inextricably linked to killing people – in the form of destroying embryos. "As part of the methods that seem to service life, we are dealing with an intentional selective abortion," wrote Poznań metropolitan. He referred to both the natural law, the medical cognition available present and the teaching of popes, including Pius XII and St John Paul II. He besides pointed out that the Act of Parliament speaks of "treatment of infertility", although in vitro it does not cure anything at all. Therefore, the archbishop asked the president to either veto the bill – or to mention it to the Constitutional Court.
Andrzej Duda did neither. The bill just signed... According to her, the Minister of wellness must spend at least PLN 500 million each year from the budget of his ministry on a "health policy programme for infertility treatment, including procedures for medically assisted procreation, including in vitro fertilisation".
In another words, thanks to president Andrzej Duda, all year our taxation money is utilized to make embryos in laboratories and then frost any of them, which means the death of human beings created in this way.
I am incapable to find the reasons behind the President, a Catholic practitioner, called upon by the president of the Polish Episcopal Conference to act, even to mention the bill to the Constitutional Court. alternatively of resisting the will of parliament, dominated by people who profoundly despised Poland, the Church and the Lord God himself, Andrzej Duda agreed to the bill. This is 1 of the biggest dramas of the last years of Polish politics.
Poland faithful to God?
This terrible state of affairs will only be changed by a fresh parliamentary majority, which may arise from the collapse of Donald Tusk's government or after the 2027 election. The question is, will anyone else be curious in this case? Unfortunately, in Poland there has been a completely irrational anesthesia in the in vitro case. Conservative environments have mostly imposed the communicative of the left, which treats artificial insemination as a average form of procreation aid. Meanwhile, nothing that involves freezing and destroying embryos is normal. In vitro is simply a completely wicked procedure – and there can be no uncertainty about it, as Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki reminded of, following the popes, including Karol Wojtyła.
I very much hope that the presidency of Karol Nawrocki will be completely free from insignificant or larger betrayals of the Catholic cause. With God’s order of revolution, we simply cannot co-operate in any way. Poland does not request a constitutional warrant of its presence in the European Union; it does not request to kill children suspected of being fatally ill; above all, it does not request to frost human embryos in the majesty of the law – and from public money.
President Karol Nawrocki is obliged not only to service Poles faithfully – but above all to service God faithfully. Therefore, follow Peter the Complaint and pray that our Homeland, led by the fresh president, should always be faithful to God, free from lies, false compromises and hypocrisy of “moderate Catholicism”.
Catholicism is never moderate—it is either Christ's or it is not at all.
