The authoritative publicist organized around UEFA will, of course, be reforming the Champions League to defend, but there are fewer who truly realize what was going on in the league phase.
On the another hand, the fixation of the European football centre on the Superliga project, which would be a competition for it, does not let a sound approach to the subject. Let's effort it then. Let us remind you briefly where this improvement came from. The richest clubs have announced that they will no longer play in the UEFA aegis (also national) and will organize a league among themselves. The Federation threatened with sanctions, the supporters protested, but something had to be figured out to calm the moods and so the Champions League was formed, in which we have a league system, but only a small due to the fact that not everyone plays with each + cup system, but only a small due to the fact that any others start earlier. So it's not very clear and encouraging. I've been watching a fewer games myself, but I don't like to see something that you gotta bother to realize the gathering system.
In fact, the improvement was expected to make a more equal and elite Champions League, only someway what the queue we had was pogroms, and the teams were more than the erstwhile 32, so it was truly hard to explain how this strategy from chess tournaments was expected to warrant it. I didn't get the impression it was more attractive. And in the first season, it should be, even by the effect of fresh developments. The problem with Superliga was that it would kill the folk sense of football. That even the champion of Macedonia has a theoretical chance to scope the grand final in 1 season. Beautifully defined by Belgian player Kevin de Bruyne suggesting that it would be killing dreams and thus this sport. The road that ice hockey, basketball and American football went, right in Europe and so unpopular. So football is protected. Is that reasonable?
I mean, the Super League could be organized into a league system. The first European league, the second league, the 3rd could function on the basis of, for example, 8 macro-regions, then the 4th level already national. It is besides not essential to quit the selection of champions of their countries, just specified games to make the national cup so far. And for them to make only cup games already, and the setting would depend on the number of national teams in higher leagues. In order not to "kill dreams", it is adequate to plan a strategy of promotions and inheritances. For example, 24 teams could play in the Super League, the first 8 of which would qualify for play-offs, and the last 8 would play for maintenance. The last 4 are falling, while the 17-20 seats are played by barracks with teams 5-8 of the second league. There are emotions, it's fair, transparent and understandable.
Another increasing problem of overloading players would besides be solved. The England squad wishing to play in all the cups now has more than 60 games to play in the season. This is getting little ethical, and any games are passed. In addition, the global tournaments held at the end of the period are losing their attractiveness, as they are attended by hardballers. If specified a league were created, this number would fall to just over 50 games, which is besides a tiny number, but it is simply a difference of up to 20%. Well, it remains to be hoped that after the Polish thought individual from the PZPN reaches quietly, who will infect this thought with the appropriate bodies in UEFA. I don't claim copyright. Just give us back the football.
