Radosław Sikorski, Minister of abroad Affairs, hosted the programme “Question of the Day” on TVP Info, where he commented on current political events, including the appointment of Sławomir Cenckiewicz as head of the National safety Bureau announced by the president-elect Karol Nawrocki.

In his speech he spared no strong words and critical assessments against both the President's decision and the opposition in the context of migration policy.

Referring to Cenckiewicz's election, Sikorski did not hide his surprise and reservations:

"Cenckiewicz is simply a man with allegations, without access to state secrecy, as well as with the past of making absurd accusations. Yeah, a brave nomination. However, the national defence minister will have a bigger problem. I bet president Nawrocki's goal is to overthrow the government.”

The Minister stressed that the appointment of a individual without access to classified information could make serious complications for the safety of the State. In his opinion, the President-elect's decision is not just a individual choice, but an component of a broader political strategy that may be aimed at destabilising the current government agreement.

During the talk on the Sikorski program, he besides raised the subject of criticism of migration policy by opposition, especially by politicians associated with the erstwhile power camp. In his opinion, it is PiS that is liable for bringing to Poland a large number of foreigners outside the cultural circle, frequently in an unthought-out manner and without adequate administrative safeguards. The Minister clearly separated the actions of the current government from the practices of the predecessors:

"Let us remember that most foreigners outside our cultural ellipse went to Poland legally, due to the fact that the Law and Justice Government issued hundreds of thousands of work permits and visas. Look at the statistics: how many foreigners arrived then and how many now. I raised the fees for visas, cut the force on consuls, ended the issue of visas to false students who did not have a advanced school degree or knew Polish or English – which was tolerated during the PiS rule. On migration issues and visas, the PiS should hide in a dark hole. They have no right to lecture or criticize.”

Sikorski thus considered the current visa policy to be more stringent and effective than in erstwhile years, and the Ministry of abroad Affairs under his direction introduced solutions to reduce fraud. According to the Minister, actions taken by the fresh government are intended to prevent actions which he considers to have been besides frequently ignored during the PiS rule.
