Roman Majewski: Rosary as a weapon in a time of chaos.
We live in times that are hard to call normal. A planet that inactive had its apparent points of mention a fewer decades ago is now in moral and spiritual chaos. Family, marriage, unborn life, and religion became targets for attacks. In front of our eyes, there is simply a war on the soul of man. Either you stand on God’s side, or knowingly or not supporting his enemies.
In this confusion many people search salvation in politics, ideology, or various false cults. For centuries, however, the Church has been reminding us: “Our fight is not against blood and flesh, but against the Authorities and Authorities, against the governments of the planet of these darkness” (Eph 6:12). And since it is simply a spiritual war, the weapons must be spiritual. 1 of the most powerful is the rosary.
It is not accidental that Mary repeatedly asked during her apparitions to pray the rosary in Fatima, Lourdes or Gietrzwald. It's not a pious devolution for old ladies in church benches, as ridiculers effort to tell us. It's not mindless repeating words. It's a spiritual sword that hurts demons. Holy Father Pio called the rosary a weapon against the evil of our times.
The large victories of Christianity were linked to the rosary: Lepanto in 1571, Vienna in 1683 and the Warszawska conflict in 1920. Our ancestors knew well that no sword or cannon had the power of a rosary denied with faith.
Today's war is different. There's no gunfire, but the media is shooting. It attacks propaganda and corrupt pop culture. The demoralization of children, the promotion of sin and mockery of religion became everyday. That is why the rosary is simply a prayer that can break the spiritual offensive of evil. Each Hail Mary is like a shot at the heart of Satan. all mystery considered is meditation on Jesus' life, which transforms our hearts, and the changed hearts change the world.
And here the question arises: do we, the Catholics of the 21st century, inactive have the religion our ancestors had? Is the rosary just a car mirror or a spiritual shield? It doesn't take much. It takes 15 minutes a day, 5 tens and a small courage not to be ashamed of this prayer in a tram, at work or at school. In times of chaos, in an age in which evil boldly marches down the streets, the rosary in the hands of believers is simply a quiet but effective counter-revolution.
Mary in Fatima promised: “At the end of My Immaculate Heart will triumph.” The question is, are we on her side?
