"Restore God's order." Krakow monarchs

In social activity, financial resources are not the most crucial budget. The most crucial thing is to find a group of people who want to work together in harmony with each another and who will have “one spirit, 1 heart, 1 goal”. There must be people who cooperate with God's grace and with 1 another; who have a love for order, and, on the another hand, aversion and disgust to everything that denies this order, which destroys it, contributes to spreading evil,' said the people of the Christian Culture Association of the name of Father Peter Complaint. More than 3 decades ago, they were united by the timeless thought of monarchism.

In December 1990, the European Monarchist legislature was held in Warsaw – just in time between the first and second rounds after the period of the Polish People's Republics actually free presidential elections. The head of the state was Wojciech Jaruzelski. It was installed in this chair as a consequence of the parliamentary "status" of Members from the fresh government and the "styrofoam" opposition, by the way, which besides mostly hides strategy cards in résumés. – Both in Poland and in all the countries in the east bloc, there were dynamic changes, called systemic transformation – reminds Peter Doerre. – In any of these countries – Romania or Bulgaria – a monarchy was in force before the communist era. There were so very real expectations of returning to this form of government after independency from the Soviets and the russian bloc and the fall of the RPPG.

However, the changes in the late 1980s and 1990s proved to be staged and controlled. alternatively of full free and sovereign Poland, we received post-PRL, the Republic of Poland "second and half" and a pseudo-democratic stage, with the theatre of politicians changing rotationally at rudders. The same destiny happened to Czechs, Hungarians, Romanians, Bulgarians... The West has guaranteed the fresh communist elite impunity and safety of business.

However, at the beginning of the systemic transformation – Peter Doerre points out – the intellectual movement, social movement, the search for identity was noticed in these countries. Where monarchs functioned during the interwar period, this was evident. In Poland – somewhat less.

After 1989 the full non-communist political space was dominated by a spirit of solidarity, post-solidarity – recalls Jerzy Wolak. – Here, any run of election solidarity, any ROAD, it was all specified a large socialism – “Socialism yes, perverts no”. Even KPN was socialist, due to the fact that it was a walsudczyk party. Against this background, the Union of Real Politics, which proclaimed the praise of capitalism, full rejection of socialism in all forms, was actually cut off. The Conservative-Monarchist Club was even more conservative than the UPR – assesses.

This is about the Conservative-Monarchist Club, whose initiator, founder, was Artur Górski. Jerzy Wolak, 1 of the leading activists of the Kraków branch of the organization, describes her perfect face: – Ultraconservatives, free-marketers, freedomists, Catholics, monarchs... What we did, what we co-created, was absolutely different from the political and social scene at the time.

Founding Congress

Representatives of monarchs from Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Austria, France came to the legislature mentioned here. His envoys were delegated by Prince Vladimir, the rightful successor to the Roman throne in Russia. Thus, the environments operating in countries where the monarchy is not present are represented, but a long-standing tradition established for centuries of royal or imperial regulation is maintained. Even a citizen of the state came to Warsaw, which was never a monarchy in its history. American – Randall J. Dicks, was the founder of the Constantian Society, an organization promoting a constitutional monarchy across the ocean as an optimal form of power, constituting a kind of information center about this strategy and promoting its movements in various continents.

Piotr Doerre, a advanced school student at the time, remembered the event that brought a major breakthrough in his life: – I went to the convention as a substitute for a friend who received an invitation but could not usage it. I was then in an initiative group of the Krakow Liberal-Monarchist Club – She remembers.

The word "liberal" in the name of this organisation was, for 2 reasons, briefly. Young activists wanted to separate their group from the Conservative-Monarchist Club already operating at this point. It was besides about emphasising support for the thought of a free market. Most of them were provided within the local branch of the Real Policy Union.

– As a first-class advanced school student, I was not precisely a very convinced conservative and monarch. More – a man fascinated by... Bonapartism, influenced by Waldemar Lysiak's books – a large Napoleon fan. My relation with the monarchist thought was very weak. I was in this group due to the fact that I liked that it was possible to combine liberal economical views with the request to reconstruct strong power in Poland – remembers Peter Doerre.

At that time, he went to the Warsaw University of Technology Hall, where many participants from Poland and a number of another countries gathered. In particular, he remembered 2 speeches. The first, entitled “Why does the Republic divide us?” was given by Artur Górski. The authorship of the second – “Why will the monarchy unite us?” – belonged to Dr Jack Bartyzel.

– It was great, it was something that opened my eyes. I immediately found everything I needed: a beautiful, lofty, coherent idea, and at the same time not peculiarly popular. First of all, as if standing on the antipodes of all that I just wanted to escape—the fall from the PRL, this grandfatherhood, this misery, not only material, but besides ideological and spiritual— says Piotr Doerre. – What I heard was very good at adding the values in which I was raised, and hence the Catholic tradition. It was like enlightenment to me, waking up. I returned from that monarchist legislature a completely different man – stresses.

Spiritus movens

Artur Górski, a “causer spirit” of specified an upbuilding, inspiring venture, was only at the beginning of his studies. Jerzy Wolak relates that he met him personally in 1994. However, the texts of the founder of KZ-M had already attracted his attention. It was possible to find them in the weekly "The top Time", which for a generation of young conservatives was, as our interviewer points out, "a formation medium, a origin of quite a few information, reflections, a wonderful publicist".

They were amazing things. I'm thinking, what is that? It is the beginning of the 1990s, we just left the commune, and here individual writes about things as if from a completely different planet – recalls that phase of his perfect road Jerzy Wolak. – He writes about monarchy, writes about integral conservatism... Who's that anyway? I was expecting someone, possibly not age, but age. erstwhile in 1994 we established a branch of the Krakow Conservative-Monarchist Club, specified a golden-haired cherub arrived. Looking at him, I thought he'd look large in his coronation robes. At the time, he was 24, a fewer years younger than me, but with specified thoughts, horizons... I must say that I was fascinated immediately – He admits.

Peter Doerre: – All of this was created by very young people, and thus without any networks of connections from the period of the commune. due to the age, it was impossible to accuse them of any engagement in the strategy of power, including links with the services of the PRL period. But they were not a part of the full planet called Styrofoam, or post-solidarized underground, which a crucial part of which had just become so easy connected with post-communists..

The Krakow Liberal-Monarchist Club after 2 years was transformed into the Krakow Monarchist Club named Blessed Queen Jadwiga. At his meetings, held at the local office of the Real Policy Union, a reasonably narrow group of people appeared – several, sometimes more than 20 participants. The organization maintained lively contacts with KZ-M and a number of akin environments operating in Italy, Germany, the United States, but besides in the countries of Central and east Europe – Bulgaria and Romania.

Integration around the monarchy idea

The Krakow club besides joined the agreement of respective organizations – among others the Conservative Club in Łódź Dr Bartyzel and KZ-M. However, this was only the beginning of an effort to merge monarchist communities in Poland. Artur Górski across Poland met with activists, wanting to transform the Conservative and Monarchist Club into a nationwide structure. The consequence of this activity was the formation of KZ-M branches in various parts of the country, subordinate to the president of the parent organization.

Most Kraków participants of the movement considered integration to be a good step, but any were opposed. Due to differences of opinion in this respect, ladies and bachelors joined the Club individually, giving birth to the Conservative-Monarchist Club of Krakow Land in 1994. Its first president was Jacek Modzelewski, and Jerzy Wolak and Piotr Doerre joined the board.

The change affected the environment. The Monarchs of Wawel worked hard on self-education. They had various lectures, conferences, discussion panels. They attended akin events in another cities of the country. Piotr Doerre points out: – We didn't do the draft. Of course, if individual volunteered and came to our events, we informed them that they could participate. He could have joined the group.

Such activity continued from 1994 to 1998. Apart from Jacek Modzelewski, the squad was headed by Jerzy Wolak, Mikołaj Orliński, Piotr Doerre.

Artur Górski besides invited Kraków's colleagues to cooperate publicly. Their articles began to appear in “Highest Time”. KZ-M besides issued its own letter: “Pro Fide, Rege et Lege”. At the beginning of the home-made quarterly process, it resembled publications from the second circulation of the PRL period or countercultural fanzin. After the release of respective numbers he gained a more awesome appearance – a harder cover, better paper and printing.

State according to Father Complaint

Sławomir Skiba met with the monarchist in head through his interest in politics. From 1991 to 1992 he was just entering adulthood. He pointed out to the Union of Real Policy, which among another groups was distinguished by the fact that it did not share widespread admiration for democracy. On the contrary, she pointed out the errors of this strategy and pointed out that the "governments of the people" could bring to power the cynical shrewd, and the full state could be led astray.

The “Highest Time” magazine related to the Union has a place for conservatives and brewers of the monarchy: Jack Bartyzel, Tomasz Gabis, late Arthur Górski... This was a convenient field for reflection on the right social order, private property, the limits of freedom, the right place of religion in social life, the search for authority.

It was only a substance of time before we came to the conclusion that these problems were best realized in the monarchy. However, this was not about an absolute ruler dictating absolute laws to which he himself is not subject.

– erstwhile we thought of monarchy, it was Catholic in which the king submits to the law of God. The warrant of this safety is always the Church. As Peter the Complaint writes – the monarch is the 1 with whom the Church, as if sharing its power, entrusts the nation to him. The king is betrothed to the nation, and in this relation commits himself to obey God's law; to establish laws which will be in accordance with God's law, with natural law, with what the Church teaches-- explains Sławomir Skiba.

As a advanced school student, he made contact with KZ-M. In his household Radom he organized a gathering with Artur Górski. He became active in the distribution of "Pro Fide et Lege". After moving to Krakow, he met the local community of the organization. However, this occurred in Warsaw, during the national convention.

He shortly joined members of the Wawel Club.

Jacobic Democracy vs. Catholics

Arkady Stelmach admits that he was not very curious in politics at the beginning of advanced school. – I was more attracted to spiritual issues. At the end of advanced school, or only at the beginning of college, I began to look at socio-political issues – he says today. – I realized what the division into left and right was truly about; to the “progressive” camp – modern, revolutionary and conservation camp. I besides wanted to realize the Polish political scene immediately after the changes that took place after 1989. I was wondering what it looked like. I've been trying to figure out this thought landscape. – adds.

At that stage, the top influence on our interviewer – as he believes himself – was the gathering of Sławomir Skiba: people with already crystallized, conservative views, sympathetic with the UPR reader “NCz”. – I have found that the monarchist thought is very attractive to me, very attractive, touching very deep parts of my soul. I have come to the conclusion that in this movement I have found an answer to many issues that have been bothering me for a long time. For example, I became very aware of the beauty and importance of this wonderful relationship, which is frequently referred to as the alliance of the altar and the throne “Arkadiusz Stelmach says.

After all, this union was completely trampled on by the centuries-old anti-Christian revolution. He is frequently considered absurd and wicked. For young Catholics, shortly monarchs, however, he proved fascinating. So they were passionate about discovering what the full apparatus of the communist state had been trying to hide for decades. – What came to us from the West, especially this, let's say, the Jacobin-European version of democracy, paradoxically seemed more hostile to the Church than the reality of the Polish People's Republic remembered by us from the end of the years – notes Arkadiusz Stelmach.

When the alleged transformation arose, reaching sources in the form of even the works of classical conservative and counter-revolutionary thought, it was not as simple as today.

Spirit Aristocracy

Artur Górski took large care of the behaviour in the Conservative-Monarchist Club of a certain order, which distinguished the environment from another organizations referring to the monarchy.

The most crucial point was to focus on the intellectual and spiritual conflict to let this strategy of power to return in an unspecified future. It was not about external appearances – flichtr and titles. KZ-M members recognized that the erstwhile aristocracy, yes, played a immense function in the past centuries by keeping the thought of national, Catholic and Polish tradition, our national and civilizational values. However, she has already gone bankrupt, and it is not necessarily about the material dimension of her condition. What is worse, he no longer performs his social, cultural or military role, from which his importance was derived, as well as his privileged social and economical position.

This is all in the past, and this aristocracy cannot be entrusted again to the state, due to the fact that as a separate layer it no longer exists. It is possible to build what Arthur called the aristocracy of the spirit, that is, people who profess values, first, mediated, based on Catholicism, which is our actual religion and besides the origin of our national culture and tradition. He in a sense stored those values which were at the base of the Polish state.Aristocracy of the Spirit is otherwise Catholic elite – reminds Peter Doerre. He adds, even erstwhile this country existed in specified a lame form as during the period of the Polish People's Republic – there are inactive disputes as to whether it was a Polish state in the full sense of that word – the Church took on the task of storing for subsequent generations what lacked secular power.

At that time, we were convinced that the monarchy, if reborn, was based on a society governed by natural law, the teaching of the Church. If Poland is to be Poland, it must be based on its Catholic tradition – notes Arkadiusz Stelmach.

As Peter Doerre points out, monarchism is simply a strategy in which society is organized organically, on healthy principles, based on natural law, on the social doctrine of the Catholic Church, on faith, tradition, household and private property. However, the monarchy strategy with the king at the top of the secular hierarchy is truly just the effect and culmination of this order.

We realized that if we truly want this monarchist thought to happen in Poland in any way, it cannot be done without saving what has survived in our country from a natural, conventional order – emphasises Arkadiusz Stelmach. We had no nobles, no aristocrats. There are no landowners, no manors. But there was much to sustain, to preserve and even more to improve – to restore, restore. First of all, the monogamous household was inactive strong in Poland at the time. We were just before the homosexual revolution in Poland. – remembers.

On the another hand, there was a religion that in Poles, thank God, inactive is. In the young generation, as I recall, we have encountered representatives of conservative and Catholic movements from the West, erstwhile they learned about our statistic from that time – how many young people practice, how many young people regularly go to Sunday Mass, how many they join the sacraments, they were shocked, due to the fact that their planet looked completely different then. Now we Poles are going the same way very quickly, unfortunately, but it is not as bad as in the West. inactive our decks of Catholicism are strong, the generational continuity has not been broken. We inactive have a lot to save. – attention is drawn to Arkadiusz Stelmach.

"Fighting" Arm of the Club

Monarchists, the Club itself, due to his care for aesthetics and for form, did not seem appropriate to conduct any kind of street activities. That's where the Academic Conservative League of Kamelots appeared as a youth of KZM – stressed Sławomir Skiba.

Piotr Doerre: – The division was about specified that the Club organized events, say, more serious, scientific, and the League meetings around current affairs, ad hoc. She had pickets or tiny manifestations. These were, for example, candle burning actions under the French consulate on the anniversary of the beheading of King Louis XVI and specified events. On 14 July, an anti-revolutionary demonstration took place in the Main marketplace Square, during which we disrupted the authoritative celebration of the revolution with the participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of France and representatives of the state authorities. The goal was to remind us of the crimes that the revolution in this country did.

The Academic Conservative League Kameloci for any time acted spontaneously. It began to form for good in 1996, and in another year it took on organizational shape.

Bogusław Bajor, 1 of the ALK activists, says: –In different environments I've been searching for people who think like me. I have always had specified an entourage a small “revolutionary” attracted me very powerfully right-wing, conservative, but besides a small streety, “bossing”. I liked the magazine "Stańczyk", related to UPR, but alternatively its more combative conservative part – very powerfully ideological, little free marketplace and more related to conservative ideas.

He met and became acquainted with the Kraków KZ-M environment at the Polish House, during the conference Julia Ubbelahde from the Movement Tradition – household – Property (TFP) on the book Revolutionary and Contrrevolution by Plinia Corraa de Oliveira. The formation of young people as part of the Conservative-Monarchist and Academic Conservative League "Cameloci" Club imposed on meetings on the doctrine of Plinia Corraa de Oliveira and the message of Fatima, led by the associate of the TFP Leonard Przybysz, a Brazilian Polish who had a key influence on the emergence and improvement of the Association of Christian Culture by the name of Fr Piotr Skarga, to which we will return.

During its top development, the ALK counted respective twelve members but spread across different cities. About how much the Club organised events heavier genre, for example scientific, League responded to current events, celebrated anniversaries.

Among the founding members of the League were names known for their activity within the Kraków Conservative and Monarchist Club: Piotr Doerre, Arkadiusz Stelmach, Sławomir Skiba, Tymon Nowin-Konopka...

– I was never a associate of the Conservative-Monarchist Club, although of course I sympathized with it as part of a alternatively extremist conservative right. Was I strictly a monarch? I think that generally, for example, a very good president could be involved, who, in colloquially speaking, will catch others' faces and introduce average rules in the country. He may be better than any corrupt king. However, the thought of anointing the sacred monarchy, its connections with the Church, the holy Roman Empire – all this I accepted, as did the principles which were common to mine – notes Bogusław Bajor.

Loud on the Kamelots

Young people forming the Academic Conservative League Kameloci became loud for the first time most likely after the 1995 presidential election. The election for this post-communist Alexander Kwasniewski was a kind of shock to patriotic youth circles of the erstwhile capital. The streets were marked by a manifestation under the slogan “The Kwas is corrosive”, organized by the League together with the All-Polish Youth, then much more extremist than today.

We organized specified an anti-communist, anti-socialist, but besides anti-democratic manifestation. We took advantage of an chance to make specified a speech, during which we tried to remind ourselves that democracy is not of itself any value, but the opposite.– it can become a threat and bring you, for example, the power of any tyrants or any oppressive system. We recalled that before the 3rd Reich, Adolf Hitler and the NSDAP took over democratic power in Germany – remembers Peter Doerre.

The intriguing and catchy slogan of the demonstration attracted real crowds of militant youth to the Main marketplace Square in Krakow and the Szewska Street leading to it. So things could have been different – especially due to the many representation of police forces. But there was no riot.

“Gazeta Krakowska” wrote: “Anti-socialism run under the motto The acid is corrosive organized by Kraków students belonging to the Academic Conservative League. – Democracy as a mob regulation leads to the most terrible crimes. It is simply a denial of freedom. It doesn't lead to the best choice. Liars and career leaders come to power – he shouted to the gathered Piotr Doerre of the Academic Conservative League".

– We want to prove that it is not actual that young people in Poland support Kwasniewski – this passage from the statements of young right-wingers quoted the local “Gazeta Wyborcza”.

In 1996, on the anniversary of the demolition of the Bastille for the first time in Krakow, the French consulate together with the municipal authorities organised large celebrations of the festival of the French Republic.

We have appeared in the Main marketplace Square with 4 or 5 people. During these ceremonies we hung our flag – a red cross on a white background, with a golden crown in the middle. It was a representation of a KZ-M symbol, but the Club had a black cross on a blue background. – describes Sławomir Skiba.

– erstwhile the “Marseliana” was played, we started singing: “Christus Vincit, Christus Regnat, Christus Imperat!”. 2 of the League's colleagues – nomen omen – of Republicans handcuffed themselves to the mast on which the French flag was to be drawn. That's why they blocked the anticipation of pulling her in. There was scandal, confusion, consternation. On the marketplace Square, all notable, diplomats, representatives of the Krakow authorities. We are chanting: “Vandea, Wandea, Wandea!”, “Vive la France!”, “Vive le Roi!” – remembers.

It's been impressive. The action was noted by national tv newspapers and newspapers, not only locally.

“Super Express” described: “Two Conservatives chained themselves with mast cuffs. And their French friends were screaming: Long live the King! In this way, the Kraków right tried to disrupt the celebration of the anniversary of the French Revolution yesterday.”

Neither the consulate nor the authorities of Krakow celebrated the anniversary of July 14th in this way. yearly ceremonies are more discreet.

During the work on the draft of the fresh Constitution of Poland, the monarchic community powerfully protested against the text of the preamble, not referring clearly and straight to the actual God in the Holy Trinity.

Young Kraków Conservatives besides decided to talk in the absence of a real, credible debate on Poland's accession to the European Union. Protests against this act agree present to list among their most spectacular street action. 1 of the members of the ALK, Tymon Nowin Konopk, on his own initiative, tried to bring a live pig decorated with Eurocohol symbols to the demonstration. The only thing he warned his friends about was a surprise. But he didn't make it to the police station. He was accused of bullying an animal, although no harm had been done.

We were planting healthy ferments in academic environments, trying to integrate young people around conservative thought. However, specified a real, tangible fruit of the existence of the Academic Conservative League was our work in “Our diary in Małopolska” and in general the environment that formed on this occasion – concludes Bogusław Bajor.

“Monarchy for Poland!”

In 1997, a grand march of monarchs took place in Krakow, attended by the great-grandson of the last emperor of Brazil, the home of Bertrand de Orléans e Bragança. Monarchist communities from all over Poland and abroad visitors from Western countries, Ukraine, Belarus...

Kontrrevolution Day began with a Mass on Wawel. From the castle, under the banners, monarchs, Kamelots along with activists of related organizations set out on the Royal Road to the Kraków marketplace Square. There, under the Tower of the City Hall, participants and many passers-by heard speeches about the request for counter-revolution. Later, during the commemorative conference, the scientists gave their lectures, which – as Jerzy Wolak emphasizes – was then close to the monarchist idea, which they did not renounce until today.

“The time of Krakow” described the march on the Day of the Controvolution: “They walked in fours with all the width of 1 to the rhythm of the beat struck by the drummer, singing: Christus Vincit, A godfather, Christ King... All men, mostly 20-year-olds. Above their heads were the Celtic crosses and banner Monarchy in PolandIt’s okay. ”

The "New State" has, on the another hand, stated: "March 9, 1997, many will associate with the counter-revolution".

Rebuilding groups of monarchism

However, social actions, happenings, demonstrations were not the essence of KZ-M's Kraków activity. As the stakeholders themselves emphasize, he had much more to offer. It was a time of intense intellectual work. The external speech was inspired by the revival and improvement of the monarchist movement in Poland by Dr. Artur Górski or prof. Jacek Bartyzel. On the basis of the capital of Małopolska, formation lectures were conducted for participants and sympathizers of the Club, including Piotr Doerre and Jerzy Wolak. These were regular meetings, specified as “clear sets”, self-education, discussions on texts of conservative classics and crucial articles appearing in the right-wing press.

We read these texts, shared notes, started writing ourselves. And above all, we lived this thought and began to look at the planet with the eyes of traditional, Catholic, counter-revolutionary monarchism. This is simply a very crucial selection due to the fact that there are different shades of monarchism – returns to the organizational beginnings of Arkadiusz Stelmach.

We have constantly had meetings with lectures by colleagues, lectures by people profoundly rooted in the planet of ideas. From an intellectual point of view, it was a strong adequate environment that neither leftist nor large fans of democracy were able to successfully enter into ideological disputes with it. So the club was primarily an intellectual base for the thought of monarchy – evaluates Sławomir Skiba from the position of years.

President Artur Górski, who was passionate about the debates during which the opponents tried to throw KZ-M into a “work with the kings”, stood out. "Kingers" could otherwise be described – paraphrased by the classical – as a "reconstruction group of monarchism". Deep, rooted in our civilization and tradition, they attempted to bring the thought to external ornamentation and superficial celebration.

– Interesting thing: at the best time for KZ-M in parallel there appeared organizations, or actually 1 large organization that made de facto I am going monarchist – noted Sławomir Skiba. – There was the title-giving, the outfitting, the ribbon-packing, the acting large regent... I'm talking about 1 peculiar organization that started in a fewer others. Their activity focused on admitting and giving out titles, choosing a king, savoring who that king should be... This was absolutely alien to the spirit of the Conservative-Monarchist Club.

The “kings” proved to be a convenient tool to ridicule the thought of recreating a social order based on the Gospel and natural law. The “Regents” of the costumers were eager to invitation television, most likely to make monarchism associated with jestada.

Jerzy Wolak says this about this phenomenon: – A variety of strange, seemingly related monarchist organizations began to appear, which began to enter our parade. It was very clear, it smelled like any kind of secret service, any kind of task force. There were guests who had overtaken noble titles, who immediately appointed a contender to be king. It became a circus.

– We tried at all costs so that no of this cabaret would stick to us. It wasn't about us. We have no contender to the throne, we do not want to hold a referendum to reconstruct the monarchy, we do not want to democratically elect a king. No, it doesn't work that way – noted Jerzy Wolak. “We remind only the idea, we remind the beauty of this long-lost world. A planet of order, planet of order, elegance, taste, economical stability. The king, if he is to come, will come alone. It will be “the return of the king”, possibly even as we know from the “Lord of the Rings”; possibly as we know from the arturian legends. He'll come and pull the sword out of the stone, due to the fact that he has to show it's him. This is very easy to imagine.

From Club to Association

Our Krakow branch of the Club focused people who did not know each another and who came from different places. We just met in the ward. Arthur invented them and invited them to 1 place. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have met Peter Doerre, I wouldn't have met Sławka Skiby, I wouldn't have met Ark Stelmach and many others. This is Jerzy Wolak.

The 1998-2001 period can be defined as a decline. A large group of members of the club engaged in another activities, including co-founding the editorial board “Our Journal”. It was especially visible in Małopolska, where there was a branch editing the local addition of the nationwide newspaper. Almost half of people working or constantly publishing in the Małopolska ND supplement were members of KZ-M or ALK "Cameloci".

Sławomir Skiba: – Arthur felt at any point – due to private, household issues – that he should no longer be president of the Club. Earlier, there was a consensus in the organization that he was to direct KZ-M. After his resignation, it became even more apparent that this function was his calling.

The last act to be taken by the organization, inactive with the participation of Artur Górski, was an act of entrustment at Jasna Gora of the Conservative-Monarchist Club of the parent of God, like Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort. At the same time, the efforts to admit St. Jadwiga as Patron were ongoing.

The founder's departure and spiritus movens the full organization was difficult. Many KZ-M members advised Arthur Górski against this step. erstwhile the doorknob collapsed, the organization revealed centrifugal tendencies, or possibly any previously hidden ambitions of another members. The resignation of longtime club leader besides coincided with the consequences of the passing time. – KZ-M has aged with its members. From an academic, student organization, she became an organization that stood at a crossroads – recalls Sławomir Skiba from the position of years.

So there was no continuity – successors who would take over the work of promoting the monarchist thought in academic environments. Older activists sought their place in various types of public activity. any were politically involved.

In the opinion of erstwhile members, authentic, in line with the thought of founders, KZ-M's activities took place in 1 decade. Although the Club formally exists until today, it is now – can be said – your own denial. 1 of the next presidents even publically expressed his deficiency of religion in the Monarchist view. – Maintaining the KZM name is at least unusual in this context. After Arthur Górski left, this club is no longer a monarchist club, so it is not the same organization. There is only a name, but it only gives a appearance. It is besides formally "Pro Fide, Rege et Lege", and has nothing to do with the writing that Artur Górski created. You could say that this activity closed just after Arthur left. Piotr Doerre emphasizes.

The club broke up, but that doesn't mean it stopped acting internally. You might ask yourself, what was that for anyway? Was it specified a youthful adventure? Yes, we had a large time, it was meetings of people who had akin views, could exchange thoughts, could meet and talk and have fun at all – recalls Jerzy Wolak. Like all KZ-M activists with whom we have talked, he repeatedly emphasizes the key function of Artur Górski in the uprising of the environment, which, although it has passed various organizational stages, remains united to this day in pursuit of the unchanging goal.

When, thanks to Father Tadeusz Rydzyk, the Polish “Our Journal” was called to life, the emergence and improvement was mostly liable for the KZM people. – says Sławomir Skiba. Marcin Nowina-Konopka, a associate of the organization, went to the board of the paper publishing company. Most likely due to him, Artur Górski became the first editor-in-chief. Piotr Doerre was the head of the local addition “Our diary in Małopolska” issued by autumn 2002.

Sławomir Skiba: – There were large hopes: that “Our Journal” would be a bearer of Catholic tradition; that it would besides focus these talents and those people who are devoted to the Church, the monarchist cause. After all, it was an environment and nationalists, and monarchs, and Catholic conservatives, and active activists who saw that things in Poland did not go well. In this environment, rather a large part of this environment were monarchs from KZ-M.

We began to realize rather rapidly that the analysis present on ND or Radio Maryja, nevertheless right in relation to social life, political life, is in many cases not in depth; however, we deficiency what we previously lived as members of the Club. Our caller admits.

Regardless of the perfect differences, the co-creation of “Our Journal” helped Krakow's environment to merge even more around the common work, to last the natural threat of decay resulting from the passing of time and the advanced likelihood of dispersal due to different types of professional or social involvement.

Shortly thereafter, the Conservative Society of Christian Culture named Father Peter Skarga appears in the landscape. The values it promotes play an excellent function in the monarchy.

Arkadiusz Stelmach: – When Artur Górski resigned from the KZM president's office, it was my, our – colleagues from Krakow contacts with KZ-M that broke off. We founded the Society of Fr Peter Skarga and it was natural for us to actually proceed monarchy activities as part of SKCh.

Thanks to Leonard the Visitor we were fascinated by ideas and the individual himself prof. Plinia Corraa de Oliveira, triad Tradition – household – Property, a coherent concept of the 3 revolutions, a description of the demolition of the order of Christian civilization, contained in the pages of the "Revolution and Counter-Revolution" – emphasises Sławomir Skiba.

I understood how this process was going, that for many centuries we have been dealing with a methodical conflict against the civilizational heritage of Christianity. It is constantly dismantled. There is inactive something left of the erstwhile Christianitas, of this hierarchical order, and this fight is inactive ongoing, and our task is to counterrevolution. We have joined this conflict within SKCh by the name of Father Piotr Skarga, in which we are inactive present today – reminds me.

As its patron, the association has chosen a royal preacher, who in his sermons and works very powerfully affirmed the monarchic system. He even respected the nobles. He reminded her that he did not appreciate the large blessing of surviving in the Catholic kingdom, under the authority of a good monarch. These were times of informing about the collapse of the kingdom of Hungary, the effects of the Protestant revolution.

Many years of members of the Conservative-Monarchist Club have never been guided by the thought of creating a organization that will change the system, the law, the Constitution. It was first of all a individual ideological formation undertaken in a tiny group, promoting monarchist thought, building awareness of Catholic elites. This is not an ad hoc or calculated for even a fewer years political action, but a task with a much longer perspective, even a fewer generations.

– In a way, that's what happens. After all, we co-create an organization – SKCh – for which this issue is crucial adequate that our full activity, our publications contain this element. Of course, we do not straight formulate a monarchist or political program. The association is not a political organization. Nevertheless, it builds the consciousness of the Catholic elites, referring to the revolution and to the hierarchy it destroyed; to those values which it is essential to rebuild in order to have a civilization in which the advent of the monarchy, the return to it, will be apparent – explains Peter Doerre.

In civilization based on Catholic values and specified spirituality, the natural way of exercising power will apply to it. However, without this foundation, without a social revival in Christ, formulating the postulates of the change of the strategy to the monarchy would fail.

The mission of the Association of Fr Peter Skarga is to rise the consciences of Catholics in Poland, to contribute to the revival of society, a nation on the principles of natural law, including subsidiarity.

This has never been a ellipse of common adoration – neither the Club, nor the Association, due to the fact that how many clashes, polemics, disputes, possibly even a quarrel. But we look in the same direction all the time, and that's the foundation on which all this, this group of us, is going on. – this is Jerzy Wolak.

Arkadiusz Stelmach: – In those days I was amazed – due to the fact that I did not anticipate it – that the environment of young people without greater material possibilities is able to do something that will happen in public space. Now I realize that: in social activity, financial resources, budgets are not the most important. Of course, they make it possible and impossible to do without them. But the most crucial thing is that there is simply a group of people who want to work together in harmony with each another and who will have “one spirit, 1 heart, 1 goal”. There must be people who work together with God's grace and with 1 another, who combine their love for order, and on the another hand, their reluctance and disgust towards everything that denies that order, which destroys it, contributes to spreading evil.

Jerzy Wolak emphasizes the fact that the comparatively narrow initially environment, all the time sticking together, making fresh participants, evolved. – What is the Association of Fr Peter Skarga, present everyone knows. And its value, its influence, its influence, it can be said, doughnuts, its "children", for example in the form of Ordo Iuris or the Center of Life and Family... It is hard to overestimate the existence and impact of the SCH. All of this actually grew on the roots of the Conservative-Monarchist Club – He's paying attention.

– Of course, the Association was besides founded by people who were not members of the Club, primarily the president of Sławomir Olejniczak, who the Association actually built and led so far, but had been ready – you can say – a squad that had met before, played well, became friends and has been working so far. It functions in specified a way that SKCh is more than a company, it is more than an association. This is simply a ellipse of friends, “a ellipse of veterans” who have fought together and know each another well, can cooperate, look in the same direction – judged by Jerzy Wolak.

Church Struggles With the Spirit of Egalitarianism

A peculiar inspiration for the Catholics involved, monarchs, is the condition of the Church and society today. This is the effect of the centuries-old Revolution, which comes down to the multi-level demolition of natural order.

Peter Doerre: –In this crisis, it was most likely all conservative, right-wing, Catholic who experienced a painful deficiency of support – not even organization but besides spiritual from the hierarchical Church. It's like he's adopted a democratic ideology like his own. any rather large groups, even socialist ideology. Of course, this is simply a dangerous phenomenon, which is the consequence of a very serious crisis in the Church. Personally, however, I have the conviction that this will pass; that this is temporary – like any of the various crises or falls – and the Church will emergence from it and return to a hierarchical and monarchical paradigm.

The Krakow monarch deplores that the present hierarchy of the Church is so steeped in the democratic, egalitarian spirit. However, it points to the temporary state of affairs. – It is simply a question of awareness of the generations that are now forming ecclesiastical institutions. But that will change. It is already evident that the young generation of priests no longer buys this ideology; that it is very determined to return to the conventional grasp of Catholic doctrine – adds Piotr Doerre.

– The Church remains a monarch, whether it pleases this or another pope or not – indicated Sławomir Skiba. – For me, the alleged synodality in the Church is besides a manifestation of a kind of revolution, besides in the sense of combating hierarchical order – adds.

So it is about a overthrow to measurement the French revolution, only conducted strictly within the Church. – Thank God, thanks to Him who is the founder of this Church, or our Lord Jesus Christ – The Church cannot be simply converted and converted into a Republic, to these synod structures, the councils of workers and boys, as was done in the russian Union. Although the synod movement itself, in my opinion – and mainly due to the Germans – strives this way, the fight is actually carried out with the essence of the Church itself. And that's profoundly revolutionary. The revolution from the very beginning, from Luther, from its first explosion, fights what? With a hierarchical order – indicated Sławomir Skiba.

As he notes, in Luther, Calvin, and their supporters, we are dealing with a conflict characteristic of the first revolution—an action against the hierarchical order in the Church itself. Later the French revolution took place – the conflict for “equality” is transferred to the social ground, destroying the established order by striving to overthrow the monarchy.

In turn, the communist revolution takes place under the slogans of abolishing economical inequality. We're all expected to have the same amount, and we shouldn't actually own anything.

At this stage, the fight passes to the ground of the Church through attempts to disrupt its hierarchical order. This is nothing but a return to this first Lutheran Protestant revolution.

Among any hierarchs, ironically, we observe the fascination of Protestantism, which actually recognizes that everyone is simply a “Pope”. Everyone can supposedly interpret the Bible freely. The doctrine is diluted, the faithful are to instruct the shepherds as to the change in teaching, and these are to follow their "sheep," alternatively of leading them on a certain way to eternal salvation. All are invited to participate in the synodality, including non-Catholics and promoters contrary to the teachings of the Church, and even the ideologies hostile to it.

The revolution that entered the Church is trying to transform it into its own prayer. However, we hope, and specified assurance from the Savior himself, that "the gates of hell cannot prevail" (Mt 16:18), although what may come, we do not know. Many people may fall distant from the Church due to mischief or effort to fall into various heresies – and already, of course, falls – says Sławomir Skiba.

The Kingdom, its attraps and its “instinctive monarchism”

– For Catholic monarchs, the point of gravity was to realize what the royal thought is. As Artur Górski said, the king is the secular culmination of a certain order that already reigns in society; a hierarchical order described by Saint Thomas of Aquinas; a order which in the mediate Ages was widely recognized as a natural state of affairs – indicated Sławomir Skiba.

When we look at spiritual order, the pope, the successor of Saint Peter, appears at the top of the earthly hierarchy. It is by his will, by the will of the Church, that he accepts the crown of a secular monarch. The church shares power with him. He is obliged to defend his spiritual standing against his enemies and to respect God’s laws in society.

Therefore, it is impossible to recreate a legitimate monarchy without restoring Catholic order throughout the community. Otherwise, the King's institution becomes nothing but an embodiment decoration, an atrape. There are even monarchs in Europe that do not have a real influence on power.

– Even these monarchs are hated by revolutionaries, by lefties. We sometimes mention to the aesthetics preserved in the British monarchy, which, although not Catholic, grows out of it. He besides maintains the care for the ceremony, for certain court rules, the label. This is surely commendable, even though this monarchy does not play the function it should have. It is simply a schismatic, usurpatory monarchy. And so is the remnant, specified a light in the tunnel of the modern planet of chaos, liberalism, socialism. Looking at the British monarchy, 1 can someway imagine what the monarchy could look like in Poland – This is Sławomir Skiba.

Jerzy Wolak adds: – Artur Górski utilized to say that during the monarchy he was an instinctive monarch. That was enough. You just knew – as the English have been saying so far – It’s good to have a king “It is good to have a king.” See: "Royal baby" is born and quite a few English come to Buckingham Palace to wave flags to express their joy. This is instinctive monarchism, the monarchism of the heart. Now, in a situation of democratisation and proletarianization of the world, we must be monarchs of the intellect.

Arkadiusz Stelmach: – When I compare the form that accompanies the Republican power in many countries – including unfortunately in ours besides – it is unfortunately highly mediocre and sad. It looks very light with what we can see even in the United Kingdom today, where, apart from this form, stored in many elements of Catholic glory, there is small left. Even this form, however, communicates something to us and tells us about a planet in which it was erstwhile filled with spirit and beautiful, wonderful content.

On the side of the Church and hierarchy

The Conservative-Monarchist Club has never received a chance to present its ideas widely in mainstream media, nor has it aspired to be a mass organization. To any extent, however, he attracted the attention of the planet of politics, influenced activists identifying with the right, being a point of mention for them on respective issues. He offered concrete cognition of the conservative ideals, hierarchical social order, monarchist tradition...

Sławomir Skiba: –In the bosom of the Club there was always a dilemma: are we – let us call it in large quotes – an ideological order and care [only] for the monarchist thought to be alive, to last intact until it is possible to build the foundations of a Catholic, hierarchical society and thus recreate this return to the perfect of a Catholic monarchy? The second option was active participation in social and political life.

Unlike any another monarchist environments operating in Poland, KZ-M Kraków has never succumbed to Sedevacantistic temptation in its majority. Recognizing and even emphasizing the drama of the immense crisis in the Church, and even, in a sense, self-denial of his own mission, activists from the erstwhile Polish capital remained loyal to the hierarchs. Years ago, they even successfully asked Cardinal Franciszek Macharski to delegate a chaplain. KZ-M nationwide asked the church authorities to recognise the Holy Jadwiga Queen as patron of the organization. During the canonization of Władysław Jagiełła's spouse in Kraków Błonia, the Club was represented.

In my opinion Sedevacantism was a dead end, and it is, of course, until today. Clearly, monarchs are attached to tradition. Since they are attached to tradition, they are besides attached to tradition in the Catholic Church. They're looking for the origins of spirituality, and they're fascinated by whether it's a coronation ritual or this aesthetic... The easiest, obvious, they find themselves in aesthetics Old Trident Mass, as it is said – pre-sobor Mass, due to the fact that in it all these elements were preserved. Not to mention the coronation ritual or another aspects of the monarchy – indicated Sławomir Skiba.

Every average monarch, in my opinion, should defend the hierarchical order of the Church, which is—visible, not searching for what... Not much – even question this order. No substance what kind of people have power in the Church today. The fact that they commit various things, whether they may commit or commit any sins, does not mean that this order is challenged; that it can be challenged and said, "No, then I am offended at this Church." The Church is inactive a hierarchical church. The power these people have is theirs. There may be specified – even many – who exercise it unworthyly. But they inactive belong to the hierarchy of the Church – stressed Sławomir Skiba.

Church, Defender of Order and Balance of Power

Fr Complaint, patron of the Christian Culture Association, in which a group of erstwhile members of KZ-M has been active since the 4th of a century, in any of his “Seymal Commandments” pointed out that since the Lord Jesus himself established a monarchy in the Church, this is the best way to rule. The monarch is here, of course the Pope and the order in the Church is an example of the organization of society.

Why did you defend this system? In the Republic of the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries the Republican or even anarchist tendencies of the Polish nobility were very strong. They were born on the basis of improvement movements, mainly Calvinism. While Lutheranism was very popular in another countries, in Poland – due to the preferences of the nobility, Calvinism was more popular as a republican trend.

Thus, for example, in the program of Rokosz Zebrzydowski there was the Calvinist postulate to expel the Jesuit order from Poland, then zealous defenders of Catholic faith. They were accused of pursuing absoluteism in Poland. The prosecution was false, but what if it turned out to be propaganda.

The nobles saw the way to independency from the authority of the bishops' courts, as well as to shed the necessity to pay taxes and submit to the king in matters of war conduct. The Republic, with almost a million square kilometres of land, was 1 of the largest countries in Europe. The nobles managed to dominate powerfully then and the king and all another states.

It was a situation in which this hierarchical order was disturbed. The nobles became a hegemon, frequently increasing not only above the bourgeoisie and peasantry, but besides above the king whom she had completely subjugated – noted Sławomir Skiba.

Priest Complaint defended the monarch against noble temptations and spreading self-will. He thus sided with the Catholic state against the anarchization of social life. This happened almost at the same time as Saint Robert Bellarmin, on the another side of our continent, fights against royal absolutism as an abuse, but going the other way.

Sławomir Skiba: – And that is precisely the wisdom of the Church, who constantly cares for balance in society and in hierarchical order. He's a litmus paper for power. It is the Church in hierarchical order, in the order of monarchy looks at the king's hands and says, “Hola, hola – here you have already exaggerated!”

Throughout history, clergymen were able to prosecute this order even at hazard of their own lives, as St. Stanislaus the Bishop did. He died but confirmed that the Church not only has the right, but besides the work to interfere erstwhile things are bad in the country.

Monarchs are missionaries of the kingdom

Krakow monarchs, present middle-generation people remembering Polish Socialism, witnesses of systemic change, realize the work of their generation. In the dreary times of communism, Poles managed to preserve religion and household despite all this, fiercely attacked besides present – only more sophisticated and effective methods. Those who have not experienced that era, much easier to buy, left-wing liberalism and related ideologies wrapped in a promise of modernity and material prosperity, adopted by colourful socio-political marketing.

Arkadius Stelmach believes in the timelessness and vitality of the royal idea:— At conventions, called conventions of the Conservative-Monarchist Club, we met rather quite a few highly educated, intellectually very efficient people. I saw large possible in this environment. I hope that this thought inactive has a future; that there will be successive generations of young people who will admit how many opportunities there are in it, how many wonderful solutions it brings to the various difficulties, problems and social phenomena we are dealing with now.

If we want to answer the question of who we monarchs are now, we are simply missionaries of the kingdom – is characteristic of Jerzy Wolak. – Sometimes it is simply a pleasance to discover that not only members of the Club, not just our circle, but people who are completely off the side; those who we do not know, and whom we meet, abruptly declare themselves monarchs. 1 presidential candidate even says of himself: "A declared monarch". Here it is in the air. That's all you gotta catch – I'm convinced.

Sławomir Skiba: – I have the feeling that present is much easier than erstwhile we started our activities, to admit the views of monarchs. Today, many people who are critical of social life, political life, this planet of ideas, are able to take seriously the challenge of reasoning about a state in terms of a hierarchical social order, the culmination of which is the Catholic monarchy or the individual of the king.

We must remember, realize what it is; realize the advantages of this system, its advantage over democracy; its legitimacy. You gotta look, read, think... And pass it on to others— encourages Jerzy Wolak.

An example of people attached to the same values that led and directed the erstwhile members of KZ-M, are students who became active in the organisation of the Krakow celebrations of the millennium of Bolesław Chrobry coronation. There we will find academic corporations, the Brotherhood of the Suburb, activists of the National Movement, the All-Polish Youth and monarchs. – They are very young people who have the courage to mention to these ideas. I even have the impression that these patriotic, national and monarchist communities present connect much more than they utilized to – shares his reflection of Sławomir Skiba.

In the belief of our interlocutor, the monarchist thought is alive and will be alive, for that is the nature and the order of things. – After more than 3 decades of alleged democracy in Poland from this strategy remained flushes. The political class is demoted from its parliamentary term. The political mechanics is at the tallness of power a increasing "mesery", very many people incapable to reason with ideological categories. The alleged right-wing groups flirt with leftist postulates, compromising the right as such He's enumerating.

To a large extent, for these very reasons, which more sensible people begin to scope deeper and look for reasons for specified degeneration of public life in Poland, as well as ways of saving the state. – It is very beautiful and gives hope for the future that young people, regardless of themselves, without even at this point dealing with the organizational continuation of monarchism, find it, however – enjoys Sławomir Skiba.

It is God who inspires and gives grace to those people who, independently of each other, search the causes of what is happening and find themselves, whether it is the monarchic thought or the environment of Catholic tradition – adds. However, young people who have never attended Trident Mass before come to the old Mass. They begin to rediscover Catholic spirituality and the full wealth of the Church. They search what they do not find today, whether in their churches or in political, social life. They search this erstwhile aesthetic which expresses order, hierarchy, contemplation, actual prayer, respect, honor to the Lord God, to the Blessed Sacrament – which is very crucial in the old liturgy. They're looking for authority, which in this planet of expanding chaos will be any kind of light in the tunnel.

– Nature cannot be deceived and man was created to this natural place, which is Heaven, where we are going. There is surely a hierarchical order. These souls naturally long for what leads to God. In our view, the hierarchical order does so in the best, most complete way. In the Church, so it should be in society – Says the Kraków monarchs.

Falling and the Way of Rescue

The revolution is now in its apogee. There is simply a minute erstwhile she seems invincible. It besides survives the tallness of its aggression, its fierceness in combat. possibly we are now in the midst of any large persecution. However, this condition will surely bring her down—it has always been so in history.indicate erstwhile Conservative-Monarchist Club activists.

You don't should be any large philosopher or genius to say that if I'm going in any direction and it's getting worse, then you just gotta go back to the starting point and turn the another way – notes Peter Doerre.

– It seems to me that this civilizational fall is so profound and captivating that young generations are yet doomed to give themselves this answer: it is simply a rescue to return to Christian civilization and everything that it does not carry with it. In today’s political plan, there is no hope on the horizon, or vice versa. However, I am convinced that our culture will actually evolve in an anti-egalitarian direction. It is simply a substance of, say, decades and it will be possible to talk of a completely different order – besides yet political, due to the fact that in fact this political form is only the emanation of civilization – stresses.

The forecasts that Jerzy Wolak draws are going in a akin direction. He expresses his belief that the present times are leading to a dramatic solstice, even a tragic collapse. – And as shortly as it all collapses and chaos comes, it will appear – due to the fact that it has to appear, this is how nature works – man or people who will start organizing it. They will become natural leaders, natural elite. Hence only a step to scope for the crown, or to the desire to establish a crown. And here 1 origin is needed: here is the Catholic Church, which anoints this man as a rightful monarch – notes.

– But in order for the Church to do so, it must first of all believe; it must believe in God, who is the King of the universe; in Christ, who is the King of the universe. And specified a believing Church will know what to do. Moreover, in a crisis situation, in a state of general decline, religion will besides strengthen in the Church. This is natural, for where sin has been peculiarly rampant, the more the grace is poured out, St. Paul teaches (cf. Rom 5, 20) – reserves Jerzy Wolak.

Piotr Doerre: – This revival of the order of Christian civilization on our continent does not gotta take place at all by the forces of the nations that erstwhile created Europe. any may even cease to exist. This does not mean, however, that there will be no others who take over their culture, the real one. It will defend itself, just as despite the fact that Greece and ancient Rome have fallen, but their culture is inactive present in ours, it is so crucial to us. This is how it will be with our European culture – He does.

It may besides be that any national communities will last after all. I firmly believe that 1 of them will be Poland, which may not fall to the end, because, among another things, it is present a republic destroyed by democratic disorder and is subjected to all destructive processes which, as cancer digests our civilisation, it has a Queen in Heaven. And I believe that this Queen will save our nation – This is Peter Doerre.
