Reflections on the Word of Life 1 Cor. 10.13

Before this Word of Life there is simply a reminder that we should not murmur, and then the apostle emphasizes: And all of this happened to them as a foreshadowing of the things to come, and it was written down to instruct us, which scope the end of time. Let him who thinks he is standing watch that he not fallIt’s okay. ” Then comes the Word of Life: “You've never had an effort beyond human strength.” and then inform against idolatry: I talk to people who are reasonable. And justice for yourselves what I say: A cup of blessing, which we bless, is it not a share in the blood of Christ? The bread we break is not a part of the Body of Christ? due to the fact that 1 is bread, so we, many, make 1 Body. For we all take from the same bread. Look at Israel according to the flesh! Are they not in union with the altar those who eat of the offerings on the altar laid down? But why am I saying this? Or is there a sacrifice to idols? Or is the idol itself something? But it is what the Gentiles offer that they sacrifice to demons, not to God. I wouldn't want you to have anything to do with demons. You cannot drink from the cup of Yahweh and from the cup of demons; you cannot sit at the table of Yahweh and at the table of demons. It’s okay. ”

Pay peculiar attention to God’s Word, which we will repeat for 2 weeks: “You've never had an effort beyond human strength...It’s okay. ” Man thinks that erstwhile a trial comes, it is beyond his might, that he should give up, not fight—but it is simply a mistake and at the same time a sign of our unbelief that we do not number on God and His help. But what does God’s Word say? ‘God is faithful. He will not let you to be tried beyond your might....’. Trials, temptations or various sufferings may arise from our weakness, caused by the circumstances in which we are found, or through circumstantial persons, or suggestive thoughts come to us, specified as fear, or even the spirit of lies—the devil—may attack our thinking. But God keeps it all under control, we're not alone in trials. God knows us, and if he permits any trial, he knows that it may be beneficial for us, for our spiritual purification. It may be a suffering or a illness to defend us from much greater evil: any misfortune or fall into sin. There is simply a regulation here: do not give in to sorrow, disbelief or complaining, but thank you for everything and trust in God. This requires any spiritual strength. Where should we draw this spiritual power? First of all, in prayer. If we don't pray, let's not be amazed we don't have the strength. It is adequate to refuse at least “Our Father” even if only 2 last requests. If we focus on these requests for a while and truly pray with the heart, as it is said: "And lead us not into temptation," God will defend us from temptation that we can yield to. Of course, even what we will yield, God can turn to good, but it requires even more religion that we humbly confess, humble ourselves, stand up and be even more zealous than before. In temptation, however, we may become addicted to a bad habit, and if we become slaves to it, our salvation will be threatened. In east Lithuania, we repeatedly ask God to be liberated from "all sorrow, anger and poverty." In the Western liturgy, this prayer follows “Our Father”: "that we may always be free from sin and safe from all confusion."

Further, in prayer, “Our Father” we ask: "But deliver us from evil." We mean not only the evil that may happen to us, but besides the evil spirit. He who asks in advance is protected by God’s power. But whoever is arrogant and relying on his own strength will shortly fall. He who does not number himself with God and does not address him with religion becomes the toy of various negative spiritual influences—energy, or demons.

The word of life goes on: “I'll show you out during rehearsal....’. So erstwhile any temptation, any intellectual or physical suffering comes, if we begin to thank, complain, and believe in God, God will either show us why, or give us cognition of what we have been protected from, or give us a way out that the situation will change, or send us people who will aid us, or there are also options. 1 day in the future we will see the large goodness of God behind this test.

Any sincere Christian who strives to live with God could, in many life situations, attest to how actual and effective God’s word is.
