The Councillors of Główczyc rejected the request for a tree avenue as a natural monument.



– Pomeranian provincial monument conservationist initiated the procedure of entering the avenue into the registry of monuments - informs Marcin Tymiński, the spokesperson of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Let us remind you that the trees are to go under the "Election" axe of the case she wrote First. The issue was publicized by biologist and socialist Magdalena Jędro, and the Eko-Initiatiwa association applied for the creation of a tree avenue as a natural monument, highlighting their uniqueness even on the scale of the country. In late March, almost unanimously, the municipality councillors from Główczyc rejected the application. This meant that 112 pear was to be cut by road repair.


The municipal authorities in the conversation with "Electoral" emphasized that the inhabitants complain about the quality of the current road, but besides about the asphalt falling pears scattered by cars.

Joanna Lipczyńska, the deputy mayor, pointed out that the municipal authorities did not recognise trees as a natural monument.

- I'm sorry. This is pear avenue, in our territory is full of fruit trees after old orchards – she explained.

Pear Avenue will become a tourist attraction?


Another conviction is the conservator of monuments.


- I'm sorry. After the analyses, we considered that the avenue deserves to be protected by entry in the registry – says Marcin Tymiński.

From now on, you can't do any work on the alley. The municipality will be able to appeal the decision of the PWKZ only erstwhile the avenue is entered in the register.

A biologist and a social individual believes that the road will be repaired with respect to the trees, but that further pears will be added to fill the "damaged" spatula with places.
