The State Election Commission (PPP) unanimously rejected the financial statements of the Confederation of Freedom and independency Election Committee for the European Parliament elections in 2024.

The decision was taken at the PKW gathering on Monday, with the presence of 8 committee members.

According to unofficial information, the reason for the rejection of the study was that the Confederacy had to supply an explanation after the deadline, even though the explanations themselves were justified. The president of PKW, justice Sylwester Marciniak, pointed out the “highly insatiable” of those liable for timely submission of documents.

The consequence of the PKW decision may be the failure of grants by the Confederation of PLN 400 to 500 1000 and the right to subsidies. The organization announced to file a complaint against the resolution of the PCW to the ultimate Court. The president of the Confederate club, Grzegorz Płaczek, expressed surprise and discontent with the decision, calling it unfair. He stressed that the organization was waiting for authoritative papers from the PCW to be able to carefully analyse and address objections.

The case will most likely go to the Chamber of Control of the Extraordinary ultimate Court, which deals with appeals against the decisions of the PKW. However, the position of this Chamber is challenged by part of the legal community, which had an impact on erstwhile disputes over subsidies to another political parties. The decision of the ultimate Court and subsequent actions of the Finance Minister will be crucial for further financing of the party

It is worth noting that at the same meeting, the PCW adopted reports of six another electoral committees: Confederation of Polish Crown, PolExit Independence, average Country, Poland Liberal Entrepreneurs' Strike, “Together for the Community” and Voice of Strong Poland.

The PCW decision on the Confederation's accounts may have a crucial impact on the party's activities, in peculiar in the context of the upcoming elections. The failure of public backing represents a major challenge for all political formation, especially during the electoral campaign. The Confederation faces the request to take legal and organisational action to minimise the negative effects of this decision and to guarantee that it continues to function on the political stage.
