The Ministry of wellness announces a fresh service funded by the NFZ aimed at women of perimenopausal age. As early as 2026, each Pole over the age of 45 will be able to benefit from a refunded educational advice aimed at helping alleviate the symptoms of the climate and expanding cognition of this natural phase of life.

Menopause is inactive taboo

  • chronic fatigue,
  • headache and muscle pain,
  • disturbance in concentration,
  • low self-esteem,
  • palpitations,
  • mood disorders.

Simultaneously 87% of subjects believes that the implementation of dedicated support would improve their regular functioning and attitude towards work.

"There is simply a request for education and real action to change this state of affairs."

New witnessing since 2026 – what can women expect?

New witnessing announced by Minister of wellness Isabella Leschina to enter into force early in 2026. His goal will be educational advice provided by a midwife, financed by funds National wellness Fund.

“Menopause is not an easy time for a woman. That is why we will prepare a package of solutions for this group of patients" – announced Leszyna during the Women's wellness Forum in Katowice.

What can women do now?

  • Avoidance of highly processed food,
  • Large amount of vegetables and fibre in the diet,
  • Consumption of dairy products and marine fish,
  • Restriction of red meat and sugar,
  • Care for hydration (minimum 2 litres of water per day),
  • At least 7 hours of sleep a day,
  • Physical activity (yoga, walks, dance).

In addition, it is worth consulting your household doctor or gynecologist if you experience severe symptoms.

The planned benefit is simply a step towards Menopause destigmatisation and increase availability of reliable wellness information for women. For the first time, the state is systematically addressing a subject that concerns millions of Poles, but has so far been marginalised in the wellness system.

If the programme is implemented effectively, it can contribute to Better working for women, increase their wellness awareness and reduction of complications associated with untreated clinical signs.
