Former Prime Minister Leszek Miller, guest of the broadcast on ZET Radio, spoke with Bogdan Rymanowski on key political issues, both internationally and nationally. During the interview he spared no criticism of Donald Tusk and the European leaders, but he spoke equally decisively about Polish-Ukrainian politics and possible candidates in the presidential election.
Miller criticised Donald Tusk's actions to date on the global stage, pointing to his insufficient activity in relations between the European Union and the United States.
"Tusk truly has a good reputation in European countries, it is very offensive. It is simply a pity that he is not taking advantage of this situation," said Miller, stressing that Europe is facing a increasing distance towards the US.
The erstwhile Prime Minister powerfully criticized the European communicative about the anticipation of the EU taking over the function of the United States in helping Ukraine.
“These are dangerous stories. There is nothing to compare Europe and the US in all respect," he said, pointing out the immense differences in the cost of arms.
He added that the Union remains a "paper tiger", having economical but not political or military significance.
Miller besides referred to the deficiency of transparency in the agreements concluded between Poland and Ukraine.
‘They are profoundly asymmetrical. Everything for Ukraine and small for Poland," he commented, calling for Parliament to present a study on the implementation of these agreements.
He besides referred to the future of the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski, claiming that his relation with Donald Trump could be an obstacle.
"Trump will treat Zelenski as a man not entirely credible," he said.
He added that at the end of the war the president of Ukraine would become a "scapegoat".
The erstwhile Prime Minister besides recalled the case of a rocket that fell in Wiedowo, killing 2 Polish citizens.
"Sorry, where is the compensation for families of Polish citizens who were killed?" he asked, accusing the Polish authorities of no force on Ukraine in this matter.
Leszek Miller's message about his election preferences in a possible second circular of presidential elections was most surprising. He admitted that if Sławomir Mentzen and Karol Nawrocki faced the second round, he would support the leader of the Confederate.
"I think he understands the modern planet more and is not so terribly burdened with the grim past," said Miller.
He besides added that in the Confederation there is "a large group of young, very smart girls and boys”, comparing them to erstwhile SLD youths. rather differently, Miller assessed Simon Holown's chances of a possible presidential election.
“Simon Holovnia will endure a spectacular defeat,” he said.
In his opinion, the public is more keen to see the Holovnia as the talker of the Sejm than the President.
He besides referred to the situation of Magdalena Biejat:
"I feel sorry for him due to the fact that he will endure a serious disappointment," he commented.
At the end of the interview, Miller gave advice to the largest opposition group:
"If PiS notices that Nawrocki has no chance, it should replace him with another candidate".
