I didn't get a chance to work for the safety services, nor did I know their secrets about the work they do all day. Unfortunately, by observing the course of events and how their actions were manifested, I came to conclusions that may or may not be useful for reforming them. The problem is not what the average citizen is trying to understand, but the fact that both their past and the tasks that they carry out are missing alternatively with the imaginations of Poles.
Unsure tomorrow
In addition to the appropriate intellectual structure to work in specified formations, we request to deal with a full scope of complexities and interactions that happen not only between states and abroad interviews, but above all with the fact that, despite their statutory tasks, they are forced to follow commands that do not belong to their competence.
The elimination of the crucial "eyes and ears of the state" of the erstwhile Military Information Service not only posed and continues to be a danger to us citizens. Movement undertaken by the group Antoni Macerewicz was a mistake or a consequence of bad intentions. However, it is customary for red to say. Stanisław Michalkiewicz, deficiency of presence, is simply a higher degree of presence. I believe that there are quite a few people working in this kind of formation who sacrifice their wellness and life for patriotic reasons, but erstwhile they see that the work itself lacks common trust and additionally hangs over their heads, like the Sword of Damocles, the hazard of being "deubeked" again, this prevents them from freely and effectively fulfilling their duties. Polish safety services are regularly undergoing burdensome reforms along with mass redeployment and even dismissals. This makes the work uncertain and unsatisfactory. Unsatisfactory earnings come to this, leading to another sources of income – usually illegal or borderline.
Carousel
With changes in the composition of the Polish government, there are shufflings in the services themselves according to the tastes of the new, "loved" rulers of this country. They do not care about the safety of the state, but only about their own interests. It's a curiosity situation. Let us realize that in serious countries specified circumstances are even unacceptable. The change in the composition of the services, together with the change in the governing team, not only results in the expansion in the ranks of formations protecting the state and citizens, but above all makes officers, alternatively of remaining loyal to the tasks assigned to them, effort to comply with the wishes and orders of politicians presently standing in power. This leads to pathology, a kind of corruption associated with blackmail. As a result, officers live in a kind of matt, and in the worst case, they fall into a state of ambition towards their own responsibilities. They do not deal with what needs to be done and what is “ordered”.
In order not to lose their position, they start competing with each other, losing assurance in each other, and cooperation is only declarative. This leads to subterranean anxiety in the ranks of services, and worst of all, deficiency of loyalty and trust in each other. For a good composition, a good squad trusts each other, knows the weaker and stronger sides of each associate and can establish a bond that helps to cooperate even more effectively.
In a contemptible tone
I know that services are always spoken of in contemptible tone. However, this is due to the above factors and hard experiences of the Polish People's Republic of Poland, where Polish citizens who were attacked by abroad interviews did not separate SB from the UB, and did not see the fact that the information interview conducted by them frequently saved the lives of many of them (e.g. obtaining recipes of abroad medicines and technologies). In fact, there are besides people in these formations who have feelings, a sense of duty, and the environment (unfortunately the majority) who simply deprive them of hope that their service is needed, right and noble leads to apathy and a sense of powerlessness.
The second most crucial subject is the general exchange of the composition of services, i.e. making this profession unstable, and even instrumentally treated. For example, in Israel, regardless of the changes in the composition of the government, the services stay in their seats, know their tasks and can calmly proceed their work. They focus on what is right and not on their unstable future and their families’ future. safety services should be taken out of the interests of politicians, should be paid, well trained, and recruitment should be done scrupulously according to the competence, not the worldview of the candidate (only should he feel patriotic and love his nation).
What Services Should Be
Services are now nothing but toys in the hands of politicians who usage them only to destruct or ridicule their rivals. They treat them like individual puppets, while the salaries of these people are taxed by citizens. We're the ones who pay the ABW, the AW, the SKW and another forms for their service. Their mission is to defend citizens, not the peculiar interests of politicians who change only in places, sitting inactive at the table.
As a result, safety services are seen negatively in our society and are besides treated as enemies. There are quite a few legends increasing around them, not necessarily matching the truth. In fact, they stand apart between politicians and their own youthful dreams of being a “protector” of the nation. Of course they are tempted, specified as easy income, like all of us. But isn't it our function to yet request that our taxes be utilized not to prosecute individual for views that are unfavorable to the authorities, but for a real sense of safety and trust that we are authentically protected by qualified officers, while they themselves should be an elite formation? Do you feel that there are Poles around us with exceptional abilities and qualifications who, in the event of danger, will stand in our defense, not the interests of politicians, feeding us a mush of stupidity on tv or radio?
Needing Good Patterns
The KGB has always had a form of "conquest" where common trust, obedience and loyalty stood on a pedestal. Although it is simply a service that has lost, so worse than the CIA, but our own – it turns out – have little influence than Ukrainian, that is, coming from a fallen, war-torn state! This is unacceptable and reprehensible. The character of the Order, common trust and a sense of stableness could be the basis for the essential reforms in our peculiar formations. surely there are inactive quite a few problems that do not work as well as would be desirable, but possibly it is worth starting with this kind of change? If the order is strong and stable, it is no longer an easy mark for the enemy. The most crucial thing, however, is that it was from the civilian services (see: KGB) that the most prominent figures of the USSR authorities were derived, which was the envy of military services. civilian formations, in addition to military training, have units dealing with the analysis of the current situation, can draw conclusions and are capable of self-cleaning from people who are harmful. But it's not harmful to a policy or to an institution. It is an officer who is able to measure whether a individual is fit for this kind of work, alternatively than a politician who decides to make the manager of any random relative's pawn for individual purposes to feel safe on his own. After all, he has no thought where he is or what operational methods are essential to effectively counter undesirable situations.
Officers sitting in specified a trap to justify the legitimacy of their existence can organise conditions on their own to show the necessity of their presence. This is due to the fear of losing a occupation or the desire to rise and so mediocre salaries, taking into account the proportion of the vulnerability of life or own wellness to the payment they receive. This is simply a pathological situation, regrettable, but essential for immediate change.
I'm not going to absolve anyone here, but I want to show that there's another way. The way followed by 1 of the best interviews and counterintelligences of the world, or Mossad. Should we not implement changes that would pave the way for our nation to have genuine independency and intelligence hygiene in the country? Otherwise, Polish service officers will be exposed to ridicule and deficiency of trust, alternatively of becoming something of the legendary “Two” of the interwar period worldwide. 1 should follow the example of the most effective traditions and cultivate the best traditions.
