According to a fresh study, most Poles believe that their material situation deteriorated during the year.
The fresh IBRiS poll discusses “Rzeczpospolita”. It concerns the assessment of their own material situation by the respondents. The results are alarming.
Researchers asked whether the material situation of the respondents had changed over the past year. As much as 57.5% of them think that they live worse than a year ago, and households are poor. Major changes are not noticed by 29.8%. Improving the material situation declares 9.3% of respondents. The others had no opinion.
The opinions of the 2 age groups are peculiarly meaningful. As many as 85% of respondents aged 50–59 and 82% aged 18–29 believe that their material situation deteriorated over the last year. There are people at 70+ on the other pole. Among them, 19% believe that they have become mediocre within a year.
The decline in surviving conditions is mainly declared by agrarian residents (67%) and 55% of those surveyed from tiny and large cities.
