Confederate politicians have shown that the government is lying about increases in VAT rates on gas, energy and systemic heat. Mateusz Morawiecki and Jacek Sasin announced an increase in the rates of this taxation to 23%, thus ending its several-month simplification as part of the anti-inflation shield. According to the Confederates, specified an increase does not gotta happen at all, as the EU allows for a minimum rate of 5%. “Every thing Prime Minister Sasin said is simply a lie. The Government intends to introduce VAT rates of 18 percent points above what the European Union requires."
“We want to present how the government lies about VAT rates. The government is deliberately misleading the public, claiming that from 1 January it must rise the VAT rates to the level required by the European Union," said Krzysztof Bosak.
“Therefore, it endures most of the relief resulting from the alleged anti-inflation shield. Poles will pay more for everything, especially in times of energy crisis: for electricity, heat and gas. ... Every thing Prime Minister Sasin said is simply a lie. The Government intends to introduce VAT rates of 18 percent points above what the European Union requires."
“The government blocks itself, claiming that it must rise the VAT rate on gas, energy and heat to 23 percent points, while it only requires 5 percent points. About 18 percent points above this is all an addition from the government of PiS."
Tomasz Grabarczyk of the Confederate press office asked a question to Mateusz Morawiecki and Jack Sasin. “Do you think Poles are idiots? Have you truly not considered that individual is about to check that you are lying about this, that the EU does not request to rise these rates to 23%?"
The politician besides noted that Brussels does not let for a simplification in VAT on gas to 0%, but that this rate has been in force in the anti-inflation shield for respective months. “If you want, you can.” commented Grabarczyk.
