In fresh weeks there have been speculations in the media and political circles about the anticipation of early parliamentary elections. any commentators suggested that their origin could be tensions within the ruling coalition or the result of the upcoming presidential election.

The Prime Minister dispels speculation – parliamentary elections will take place as planned.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk powerfully ruled out the anticipation of early parliamentary elections. During the Monday press conference in Sławków, he assured that the elections would be held in accordance with the constitutional calendar – in 2 and a half years.

– There will be no earlier parliamentary elections. They will be held according to the calendar in 2.5 years. We have quite a few work to do and I am convinced that we will get a mandate of trust not only for the next 2 years and a fewer months, but for the next 4 years," said the Prime Minister.

Tusk stressed that the government has unchangeable political facilities and intends to proceed its activities in accordance with the constitutional calendar. – I have adequate strength and religion in our capabilities. I do not anticipate any black screenplay," added the head of government.

The Prime Minister's declaration appeared in the context of speculation about possible political changes after the second circular of the presidential election. However, Tusk pointed out that regardless of the result of the vote, the Sejm would operate until the end of the word of office.

Earlier, in a survey conducted by SW investigation studio commissioned by “Rzeczpospolita”, respondents were asked whether an accelerated parliamentary election should happen in the event of the triumph of the candidate of the current opposition in the presidential election. However, the results of the survey were not cited by the Prime Minister.

The current ruling coalition, headed by Donald Tuski, focuses on the implementation of planned reforms and investments specified as the construction of the largest transhipment logistics hub in Europe in Sławków. The Prime Minister expressed his belief that the government had a strong social mandate to proceed its activities.

The Prime Minister's statements aim is to calm political sentiments and guarantee the stableness of the current government. Tusk stressed that he does not foresee any extraordinary policy scenarios and intends to proceed as planned.
