Austrian theologians praise the mistaken declaration of Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Declaration is an "epoque" text that must be "implemented," say Austrian scholars. The paper that Pope Francis asked for personally was not changed and could origin havoc in the planet of theology and religion.

On February 4, 2019, Pope Francis signed the Abu Dhabi Declaration. It was besides signed by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Ahmed al-Tayyeb. The declaration was accepted by a large part of the Catholic Church with deep concern.

The text states that spiritual diversity in the planet is an expression of God’s wise will. If Francis found that God wanted different religions to exist, it would be heresy.

The problem is that the text combines spiritual diversity with the diversity of genders or races, clearly suggesting that something good is involved.

Card. Gerhard Müller, erstwhile Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, recommended reading this declaration in a “diplomatic” spirit and not taking it seriously; he admitted that if I read the thing literally, the consequences would be disastrous.

The Pope was asked personally by Bishop Athanasius Schneider of Kazakhstan. Francis stated in his interview with the bishop that he meant nothing heretic. After talking to Bishop Schneider in 1 of the homilys, he said that theology distinguishes between God's affirmative will and will allowing. The will is that God permits certain things.

In the Abu Dhabi Declaration there is no discrimination at all, and the correct logical reading requires reading text in the key of the affirmative will. Moreover, despite criticism, the contents of the Declaration have never been changed – it is inactive sold in its first sound.

Francis seems to powerfully support her heretical reading. While in Southeast Asia in September, he expressed it twice – in Jakarta, Indonesia and Singapore. Speaking in Jakarta, he compared Christians and Muslims to light, stating that both religions were very similar. In Singapore, he stated that Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism and Christianity are simply different ways to God. Strictly speaking, Francis gave heresy, as would be the case with Abu Dhabi. any theologians have argued that Francis' statements, addressed to believers of another religions, cannot be interpreted strictly; in this way the attempts were made to defend papal words.

The Abu Dhabi Declaration has become the beginning of another dialog initiatives. Abu Dhabi itself built the alleged home of the Abrahamic Family. It is simply a temple complex composed of a church, mosque and synagogue. They are connected in a common courtyard; the buildings are very similar. They clearly express the heresy of spiritual diversity. All of this affects imagination – and provokes to new, non-Catholic theology.

This was late discussed by Austrian scholars, theologian prof. Michael Quast-Neulinger of Innsbruck and spiritual student Prof. Franz Winter of Graz. According to Kathpress.at, in the sub-cast that he recorded, Winter described the Abu Dhabi Declaration as an “epoque” text. Quast-Neulinger pointed out the strong support for the thought of “religious freedom” contained in the Declaration. As he added, the Declaration is not simply a "mission for further work" and must be implemented.

We are writing about this case due to the fact that it shows how serious the consequences of not correcting a false paper are. Although the Pope, backed to the wall by Bishop Schneider, denied heretical intentions, a text which, due to its logic demands heretical reading, functions in the the theological and spiritual space unchanged. It means that it provokes to build incorrect concepts. 1 can only guess how terrible the consequences will be in the long term...
