Members of the Austrian Freedom organization (FPÖ) ostentatiously left the Hall during the speech (on line) by Volodymyr Zelenski.
After the speech, FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl said at a press conference that the parties that were present during the speech were "substitute US and NATO agents". According to Kickl, everyone breaks neutrality.
FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl criticised a fewer hours after the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski's virtual speech in the parliament that the gathering was “false” and “insane”. Addressing the parties present at Zelenski’s speech, Kickl said: “Irresponsible politicians of 1 organization destruct neutrality”. The FPÖ leader criticised the parties present in the Chamber during Zelenski's speech for being "substitution agents of the US and NATO" and "breakers of neutrality" due to the fact that they destruct "the foundations of a credible neutrality policy". He accused them of “hypocritic tampering” with neutrality.
Kickl stressed that the Austrian Parliament should not be a phase for any typical of the fighting party. This, of course, besides applies to Russia. Speaking of war, he summarized it as follows: The war in Ukraine is nothing but “US and NATO war against Russia”. On the another hand, the EU is now NATO's European arm. For this reason, Austria has to make a clear commitment to stay neutral.
As he said, FPÖ is the only Austrian organization active in an active, consistent policy of neutrality. For Kickl, neutrality is “a model for the future”, so it will always defend itself. He cited the example of Switzerland during planet War II. He so besides called on another parties to yet specify their actual position on neutrality and put aside "pure hypocrisy". With respect to the war in Ukraine, he raised the question: Or should a neutral country be neutral if not today?
