LOS ANGELES- Bhad Bhabie (real name Danielle Bregoli) has been sued by American Express for allegedly failing to repay over $674,000 in outstanding credit card charges. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles (LAX) County Superior Court, citing a breach of contract related to an account opened in April 2021.

According to court documents obtained by People, American Express claims Bregoli stopped making payments around December 19, 2024, and now seeks the full balance of $674,452.40 in damages.

American Express Sues Bhad Bhabie

American Express alleges that Bregoli entered into a credit agreement on April 21, 2021, and was required to repay all charges in full or through monthly installments.

The account in question was reportedly used by Bregoli and/or individuals with her authorization, accumulating significant purchases and cash advances.

The complaint states, “Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest on the Account by paying the balance in full every month or by making monthly payments.”

According to People, American Express claims payments ceased near the end of 2024, triggering legal action for the unpaid debt.

No official responses have been provided yet by either Bregoli or American Express representatives.

The lawsuit comes shortly after Bregoli discussed her earnings with Interview Magazine, revealing that OnlyFans was “a good way to make a lot of money really fast.” She originally joined the platform in April 2021, around the same time the credit card account was opened.

According to a July 2024 report by Complex, Bregoli posted a screenshot of her financial summary from OnlyFans, claiming to have grossed $71 million, with net earnings reaching $57 million.

Notably, more than $32 million came from direct messages alone, while $24 million came from subscriptions and nearly $500,000 in user tips.

Despite this reported income, the new lawsuit from American Express indicates a significant financial dispute.

Ongoing Legal Proceedings

As of now, no public court dates or settlements have been disclosed. The Los Angeles County Superior Court will oversee the proceedings, and American Express is seeking full reimbursement through civil litigation. Whether the case will be settled privately or go to trial remains unclear.

The situation raises questions about financial responsibility and celebrity spending, particularly when public earnings appear to contradict alleged debts.
