30 1000 fines and orders to leave Poland for Ukrainian road pirate

Police officers from the Poznań – Grunwald Police Station established the identity of a 19-year-old Ukrainian citizen who in the last year repeatedly exceeded the allowed velocity in Poland. In total, he did it as many as 12 times, and in 10 cases his misdemeanors were recorded by photoradiators.

The young BMW driver not only grossly broke traffic regulations, but besides demonstrated the disregard of Polish law, showing an offensive motion towards photo-radars.

In accordance with the applicable rules, he is facing fines of up to PLN 30 1000 for the offences committed, and he was additionally granted a decision to leave Poland and an 8-year ban on entering the Schengen area.

Since December 2024, the case of the young Ukrainian has been dealt with by the officers of the Poznań – Grunwald Police Police Station. Their duties included examining the materials provided by the GITD Chief Inspectorate of Road Transport, who noted the serial velocity overruns by the unknown BMW driver.

In the course of the investigation, it was found that the BMW driver was in a peculiarly serious breach of traffic rules. 10 times it was captured by photoradiators, and in most cases it exceeded the allowed velocity by more than 50 km/h in the built-up area. In total, he collected 119 punishment points, which repeatedly exceeds the permissible limit in Poland.

What's more, all photograph captured by the camera showed how the unsub deliberately shows the mediate finger towards the recording equipmentwhich further emphasized his ignoring Polish legislation.

After carrying out a series of investigative and administrative activities, officers from the station in Poznań reached the driver's identity. It turned out to be a 19-year-old Ukrainian citizen who was detained at his place of residence. After he was transported to the police station, he confessed to all wrongdoings.

Further analysis of his behaviour showed that these were not his first conflicts with the law. He had previously been punished with fines for 2 speeding, as well as for shoplifting.

The police took the following legal steps towards the perpetrator: they made a request to the court for his punishment, took distant his driving license, opened a procedure to verify the anticipation of a foreigner's work to leave Poland. According to officials, his notorious violation of law posed a real threat to safety and public order.

Decision to deport and prohibit entry into the Schengen area

At the request of the police, the case was handled by the Border Guard, who analysed the evidence collected and decided to deport the man. The commandant of the Border defender Service in Poznań-Ławica issued a decision on the immediate work of the foreigner to leave Poland.

In addition, given the degree of danger he posed, an 8-year ban on re-entry into the Schengen area has been imposed on him. Until the decision was made, the man was imprisoned in the Guarded Centre for Foreigners in Lesznovela.

In addition, he is inactive facing a fine of up to PLN 30 000, which he may be charged with.
