Police officers present attempted to detain erstwhile Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobry. Initially, these actions had no effect due to the fact that he was not found in his property in Jeruzal (Łódź Voivodeship).
However, after 10:30 p.m., the politician volunteered himself to the officers just after his speech on tv Republic. After the police passed the court decision, Ziobro accepted the situation, although in his statements he emphasized that detention violates the law.
– I will follow your instructions... However, I would like to inform you that we are dealing with a situation in which the principles of the law have been violated, due to the fact that the Polish Constitution says that the judgments of the Polish Constitutional Court are final and irrefutable said Ziobro, showing the officer a printed decision of the Constitutional Court.
He besides stressed that he felt that the current government was in violation of the law:
– Respecting that you are acting on orders as a formation, I will, of course, comply with your recommendations. We're dealing with a situation where Donald Tusk's government is breaking the law. He expelled journalists with the aid of strong gentlemen from the public media, against the law, threw the national prosecutor out of his office said the erstwhile Minister of Justice.
Upon arrest, Ziobro was transported in a police escort to the Sejm building. At the same time, the Pegasus Investigative Committee voted on the motion to temporarily detain him. Shortly thereafter, the president of the committee, Magdalena Magpieka, informed about the completion of the work on the matter.
