Karol Nawrocki officially took office as president of the Republic of Poland during the National Assembly in the Sejm. This followed the solemn oath:

“By assuming the office of the president of the Republic of Poland by the will of the Nation, I solemnly curse that I will stay faithful to the provisions of the Constitution, I will defender the integrity of the Nation, the independency and safety of the State, and the welfare of the Homeland and the welfare of citizens will always be the highest order for me. So aid me God.”

Opening Message

In his message, president Nawrocki declared:

  • Listening to the Nation: “Poland is the common good of citizens, and the nation is in power. Welcome to the Polish nation! Within the borders of the Republic and beyond the borders of the Republic! ... I will be the voice of those who want sovereign Poland, Poland, which is in the European Union, but which is not the European Union. It is Poland and will stay Poland.”

  • Sovereignty and economical Policy: strong opposition to illegal migration and accession to the euro area; declaration of a fresh constitution by 2030; return to major investment projects specified as the Central Communication Port.

  • Modernisation of troops: "I will support all modernisation efforts of the Polish state and Polish military... I will do everything to build at least 300 000 Polish army in the coming years, the strongest North Atlantic Army in Europe."

  • The kind of Armoured Authority: “Your president will never... say to you, ‘forward’. I will always say to you, ‘Follow me’. I've been, I've been, and I'll be with you. Long live the Polish army, long live Poland.”

Karol Nawrocki announced that he would be the voice of Poles who want Poland safe, Poland supporting the education of children and Poland, which invests in its development.

He invited to participate in this year's edition of the National Reading Action – a task in which for more than a decade subsequent Presidential Couples have been reading in public and together with their fellow countrymen large works of Polish literature.

He announced that he would consistently implement the programme with which he went to the elections, including the request for strategical investments, including the Central Communication Port, whose construction – in a truncated form – the current government importantly slowed down.

As he pointed out, on the next day, he will submit a bill in the Sejm on the return of the CPK to its “traditional shape” so that we “find our economical flywheel for the next decades.”

– This presidency will reconstruct religion in promises made – said president Karol Nawrocki. – I will be the voice of my people – he added. Poland – in his opinion – is to be sovereign. And he spoke about this in the context of the European Union, not a word from Russia. – We cannot be the auxiliary farm of our western neighbours or the full EU He stressed and the PiS members began chanting: This is Poland!

–God bless Poland, long live Poland “President Karol Nawrocki shouted at the end of the message after the oath.

Rhetorical evaluation of the speech – Prof. Jerzy Bralczyk

Prof. Jerzy Bralczyk, a leading linguist, assessed the speech of the fresh president as exceptionally successful. He stressed high rhetorical efficiency. He rightly pointed out that Nawrocki said “without a card, out of the head”, which according to the expert “can show commitment; emotional elements could appear”. Importantly, the beginnings of Nawrocki's political way did not propose that he would become a functioning retor.

Bralczyk noticed language correctness and clarity, with an emphasis on deficiency of errors and fluidity, he stated: “On the language side, it was correct, I did not announcement any peculiar mistakes. I think he achieved what he wanted – that is, he showed willingness to act.”

Even for tabloid media (such as “Fact”), the speech was “material and very efficient”. Bralczyk peculiarly pointed out that “The point was that he spoke out of his head and everything was sticky... clearly optimistic and without aggressive elements (...) good disappointment.”

The swearing-in of Karol Nawrocki and the beginning speech on August 6, 2025 verbally marks a fresh direction in Polish politics — sovereignty, modernization, strategical investments, emphasis on the defence of the country and national identity. I hope the words are turned into deeds.

Good-Order not admitted to oath

It should be noted that Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz, an embarrassing TVP Info writer “in liquidation”, was not allowed to curse president Charles Nawrocki. She managed to participate in the ceremonies, but after leaving – to evidence a conversation with Prime Minister Donald Tuski – she was refused the re-entry of the main entrance.

On recordings that rapidly spread online, Dobrosz-Oracz shouted: “This is just sick. How do we evidence the premiere?”

Officer of the Marshal's defender answered calmly: “Ma'am, there is no passage at this moment.”

The writer explained on the phone: "I request to evidence the premiere. He wrote me a Trap that now the Prime Minister will come to us... We went outside to get in, that's 3 seconds. Should I not evidence the premiere?”

TVP in liquidation does not emit message

Television Poland, specifically TVP in liquidation, did not broadcast the oath of Karol Nawrocki on the main air, or TVP 1. The event was only available for TVP Info and on YouTube channel of this station. This fact was even noted by the MP of the Left, Paulina Matysiak, who described it as scandalous. On TVP 1 alternatively of the oath ceremony by the fresh president, reruns of series specified as ‘Commissioner Alex’, “Father Matthew” and "Kings".
