Zandberg, Trela and Gawkowski in a parallel unfinished dispute over the Left

After the UK and France elections, Members of the parliamentary club Lefties are asked in the media what these lefties have, the Labour organization or the 1 united in the fresh People's Front, that they win, while the Polish Left loses support.

The parallels with Britain or France are not simple and obvious, but the question seems to me to propose itself.

Tomasz Trela in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza” said So, "Let's look at the Labour organization in the UK, which has somewhat changed the communicative and is about to win parliamentary elections".

"The lesson from France is rather simple. The left can win votes erstwhile it is determined, expressive and consistently pro-social" – commented Adrian Zandberg at Polsat News.

Meanwhile, in Poland

I draw attention to these 2 quotations due to the fact that they are crucial and can aid to realize the conflict within the Polish Left.

The dispute within the parliamentary club continues. Trela talks about Zandberg in the mentioned An interview with “Electoral: ‘Smurf Maruda. He is expected to be in the group, but he does not like everything.” He adds that the problem is "the deficiency of a uniform, unambiguous message among all left-wing parliamentarians".

This heterogeneity is indeed a midfielder for voters of the Left, commentators and anyone who tries to describe the political scene in Poland, due to the fact that part of the parliamentary club is in government, and part not and government criticizes.

It would be a way out of this situation if Together the government entered. It has even been reported that Krzysztof Gawkowski proposed to Adrian Zandberg that he be given the position of vice-president. Gawkowski confirmed these reports and added in a conversation with Radio Zet that “politicians must see a small wider than the tip of their own noses.” I think it is Gawkowski who speaks about himself and his generous offer, although in full these words can besides be referred to more broadly in the dispute on the Left.

“See a small wider” is the way Zandberg and Trela and Gawkowski realize it.

Zandberg in Polsata said, "I will be very happy to accept Krzysztof Gawkowski's proposal", but – as he added – the form of the coalition agreement must change.

Together, in order to enter the government, they would like to renegotiate the coalition agreement and add, among others, a warrant of money for housing (1% of GDP), a wage increase in the budget and more money for public wellness protection.

And here we come to the point: Together, we do not want to take work for governance until the government takes work for delivering left-wing proposals. Meanwhile, Nowa Lewica took work for governing the country, hoping that it was the only way to deliver her demands.

This is simply a bit of a dispute over a chicken and an egg: do you first request to be large, crucial and in power to make changes (New Left), or do you request to first watch the program of changes, and introduce them as they grow up and will be guaranteed to implement them (Together)?

Brave vs Effective

Adrian Zandberg, in this conversation at Polsat, says: “We believe that the Left must be courageous and consistent besides erstwhile liberals say no, it must be able to answer hard. If she politely votes for the PSL laws and allows the PSL to run over its laws, no 1 specified as the Left will take it seriously."

Trela in parallel reality convinces that the Left delivers. She says: “Here we are: we have restored the in vitro government program together with the coalitions, we have increased salaries in the budgetary sphere, we have given increases to teachers, we have introduced a widow’s pension, we support grandmother’s benefit for young families, thanks to our efforts We changed the definition of rape in the penal code. We are about to adopt a law on partnerships."

It's not adequate for me. Zandberg cites the Act on Signallers, from which the provision concerning violations of labour law, i.e. the area covered by Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bak, was deleted. An example of this bill is an evergreen, due to the fact that Zandberg not only cites it. He mentioned it late in Political Criticism Bartek Rydliński.

Tomasz Trela says in “Electoral” explicitly: “The cohesion of the left is now the most crucial thing”. Inconsistency generates chaos and makes it possible to quote Zandberg here – that specified a left, which is 1 ft in government, 1 in opposition, and 1 in association with the policy of the Law and JusticeNobody's gonna take this seriously.

And here we return to the words of Polish Left Members quoted at the beginning of the elections in large Britain and France. For Together, the key to success in France is firmness, clarity and consistency. For the fresh Left, they got along in France, and in the UK, they changed the communicative a small bit.

These are different interpretations, but well showing the point of the dispute within the Polish Left.
