The prosecution received a request from the Parliamentary Committee of enquiry for Pegasus concerning the application of 30 days' detention to the erstwhile Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobry informed the lawyer General, lawyer Anna Adamiak.
As she submitted, present the paper will be submitted for formal analysis. In turn lawyer General Adam Bodnar assured that he would sign the application immediately after receiving it.
The Parliamentary Committee of enquiry for Pegasus voted to launch a procedure to impose a 30-day detention conviction on Zbigniew Ziobra.
"The request of the committee of enquiry was submitted and will be sent to formal analysis on Tuesday by the elected prosecutor of investigation squad 3, who deals with the case of Pegasus and the lawyer General", said Adamiak.
She besides stressed that further action would be taken after the formal evaluation of the document.
Attorney General Adam Bodnar referred to the case on TVN24, stating that the Pegasus committee had full authority to make specified a request.
"I will sign a proposal to launch the full procedure," Bodnar said, stating that this could lead to the abolition of the immunity of Zbigniew Ziobra.
However, he noted that the paper had not yet reached him:
"But of course, erstwhile I get it, I will sign and address the talker of the Sejm, due to the fact that he is liable for the procedure for waiving the immunity," stressed the head of the Ministry of Justice.
After this stage, the application will one more time go to the court, which will take the final decision.
On Friday, the Pegasus Investigative Committee did not question Zbigniew Ziobry, even though the police, according to the court's decision, stopped him after 10:30 a.m. to bring him to the meeting. Just before the police arrived, the committee left the Sejm.
Adam Bodnar, commenting on this situation on TVN24, acknowledged that he was “disappointed by the attitude of Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobra”.
"The individual called before the committee of enquiry to whom all the essential procedural decisions have been taken should follow the principles of the liable citizen and appear on time," Bodnar said.
He besides added:
"Mr. Ziobro not only avoided appearing before the committee, but at the same time organized different appearances on private television".
When asked if the committee had the right to close the gathering respective minutes before Ziebra arrived late, he replied:
"In my opinion, the committee had the full right to decide whether to apply for detention".
Former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro referred to the case during a Monday press conference. He informed that he was reporting a suspicion of a crime being committed by members of the Parliamentary Committee of Investigation for Pegasus.
“You know our argument. The Constitutional Court issued a judgement on September 10 last year, in which light the committee was established with gross flaws from the point of view of the Polish Constitution," said the PiS politician.
The erstwhile Minister of Justice besides pointed out that, contrary to media reports, he was not invited to the committee gathering at 10:30 p.m.
“I besides item what is frequently mistakenly repeated: I was not invited at 10:30. I wasn't invited to any committee. The court has decided that I should be led, which the police have done. There was no time in the court order. The police were expected to lead me to the committee gathering on 31 January," he stressed.
Ziobro besides referred to the intervention of the services, stressing that there were no objections to police officers and officers of the Marshal's defender who carried out the court order.
I don't blame the police or the Marshal's Guard. They behaved very professionally, performed their duties," he said.
The erstwhile Minister of Justice besides stated that, by decision of the president of the committee, Magdalena Sroki was held for respective minutes at the premises of the Sejm. According to him, it was not a decision of the committee itself, but of those who influenced its members.
“It was not the members of the committee who made the decisions, but their decision-makers.” said Ziobro.
