Leon Stanisław Komornicki (b. 26 April1947 In Volbromuk) – Major GeneralPolish Army Retired.
He graduated from advanced school in 1965. Beef. From 1965 to 1968, he was a subject Stefan Czarniecki Officer School of Armoured Forces in Poznań. He began his professional service in 1968 as a tank platoon commander in 8th mediate Tank Regiment In Catering. In 1989 he became Chief of Staff – Deputy Commander Silesian Military District in Wrocław and since September 1990 commander Warsaw Military District. In September 1992 he became Head of the Training Inspectorate – Deputy Head WP General Staff. He held this function until 1997. In the founding declaration adopted on 29 March 1994, 33 SEA founding members stated that:
Shaping from 4 years in Europe and in the planet the situation creates for Poland A chance she hasn't had in at least 2 centuries. The possible of a beneficial change in the Polish geopolitical position was created by removing the double wing (from the East and the West), which twice led to our failure of independence. Today's beginning door Poland integrated and successfully developing European country union combined with the entry into European and Euro-Atlantic safety structures if they are implemented, they will put an end to this flanking and guarantee a lasting sense of safety for our country. This chance must not be wasted. 1 of the measures leading to this nonsubjective is to create, like another countries, a broad civic forum for reflection on matters of State security, which should facilitate not only a better and broader knowing of abroad policy issues, but besides facilitate agreement on the main issues related to the Polish state ration. The non-governmental nature of the Association not only facilitates open discussions, but besides provides a better chance for open exchange of views with abroad partners and interlocutors.

Euro-Atlantic Academy
The Euro-Atlantic Academy is simply a training cycle of 10 specialist lectures. The aim of the task is to enrich the cognition of listeners about issues concerning: Euro-Atlantic matters, Polish interests in NATO and the European Union, mechanisms of functioning of collective safety organisations, Polish abroad policy, in peculiar in the field of global security, the function and tasks of NATO, the safety and defence policy of the European Union and the defence of Poland, the democratisation of global relations, defence and strategical culture, the past of European integration in the context of safety and defence policy, the Polish economical policy in terms of safety and defence, the modernisation of the Polish army, the Polish manufacture working for the institutions of defence and safety of the country and cybersecurity. Euro-Atlantic Academy includes debates, readings, conferences, workshops, discussion meetings. The lectures are conducted by distinguished experts – participants of Polish public life, besides in cooperation with institutions dealing with the defence of Poland and abroad policy and national security. The inaugural lecture “US-Russia-EU relations: challenges and threats to Polish abroad and safety policy” took place on April 19, 2017[2].
Warsaw Transatlantic Forum
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the North Atlantic Alliance, the 10th anniversary of accession Poland to NATO and the 15th anniversary of the Euro-Atlantic Association, 12–13 March 2009 Association with Centre for global Relations organized the 1st Transatlantic Forum on University of Warsaw. The debate was on the future of NATO and the situation in Afghanistan. The Forum besides discussed the challenges to planet peace, Bronisław Geremek's legacy and transatlantic relations and the function of the United States in addressing global challenges.
