Serviceful politics continue. Minister Sikorski announced that together with Germany and Norway we would allocate $500 million in full to buy arms for Ukraine and added: “We hope Ukraine will announcement this”.
I have bad news for the Minister – if the Ukrainians could not appreciate our over 3.5-year aid at the level of respective percent of GDP and president Zelenski did not even agree to invitation Poland to the table (previously in Washington, now in Geneva) for talks about the end of the war, then I think that an additional 500 million (including $100 million from Poland, which the Minister had already announced) would not make any difference.
That's enough. Minister Sikorski besides admitted that “we, Europe, are paying for this war, both in terms of the functioning of the Ukrainian state and in terms of financing the defence of Ukraine. The United States pays almost nothing. This is not only the PURL, this mechanics for buying weapons, it is besides the Starlink programme, which is mostly financed by Poland", and yet added: "He who pays should besides influence decisions".
Let's face it, this is pathetic. The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of the Polish Government leave and complains that for respective years we have been doing for the ATM for Ukraine, we pay fundamentally everything and... we have no influence on decisions. Here are the effects of conducting politics on your knees, giving everything for nothing, no conditions or requirements. And even the biggest corruption scandal in Ukraine, in which the closest people of Zelenski are involved, does not make them remember. We made losers of ourselves and we are getting into it more and more, completely without looking at the interests of Polish citizens, whom we completely neglect!
By the way, I have 2 questions for Prime Minister Tusk and Minister Sikorski:
1. Why is the money of Polish taxpayers for financial support for Ukraine being spent behind citizens' backs, without the bill, without the consent of parliament and the President?
2. How are there immense funds for aid to Ukraine (only in the years 2023-24 over 100 billion PLN) and free wellness protection for Ukrainian citizens in Poland (they do not even gotta work here and pay wellness contributions, unlike Poles!) and there are no additional funds for aid for Poles towards bankrupt NFZ and closed infirmary wards?
Either we start a assertive policy based on the Polish national interest and support Poles first of all, or no 1 will respect us. But this authority will never understand.
