At the end of 2023, 7 percent of insured persons in ZUS had different citizenship than Polish. 787 1000 of them are Ukrainians. All these people will get our pension rights over time. This will be a stalemate for our economy and public finances.
We have very liberal pension rules and very unfavourable bilateral agreements with another countries. For Ukrainians, in order to gain Polish pension, it is adequate to decision to Poland and work 1 day! This is already treated as commercial migration, and under bilateral agreement the Polish Social safety Office is obliged to pay the supplementary benefit. The minimum pension in Ukraine is 260 to 320 PLN. This means that in Poland specified a pensioner would receive a PLN 1500 supplement to the pension from the Polish Social Insurance Institution, from our contributions!
No wonder journalists talk about "Senioral eldorado". We request to fix the pension strategy and defend it from drainage from immigrants!
