The United States and Saudi Arabia have signed a package of investment agreements and commitments worth over $600 billion, which is the largest agreement in the past of economical cooperation between the 2 countries. — informed the White home in a message published on Tuesday.
The signing ceremony took place in Riyadh in the presence of US president Donald Trump and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who confirmed the intention of both countries to deepen strategical partnership and guarantee long-term economical prosperity.
Under the agreements reached, the Saudi company DataVolt will invest around $20 billion in the construction of data centres and energy infrastructure in the United States. The U.S. GE Vernova corp will deliver $14.2 billion of gas turbines and power equipment to Saudi Arabia, and Boeing signed a contract for the supply of 737-8 passenger aircraft to Saudi air carrier AviLease worth $4.8 billion.
Individually, wellness care projects have been highlighted, including a fresh high-tech medical solutions facility in Michigan with a full value of USD 5.8 billion.
In addition, the US and Saudi Arabia have concluded the largest military cooperation agreement in past with a full value of about $142 billion. The paper provides for the transportation of modern weapons and equipment produced in the US, the improvement of anti-aircraft and rocket defence systems, the modernisation of the Saudi coast and border security, as well as training and comprehensive support for Saudi armed forces.
The White home stressed that these agreements "lay the foundations for a fresh golden era in relations between both countries" and will contribute to occupation creation and economical growth in both the US and Saudi Arabia.
