The European Union strengthens Frontex. Assistance at the borders in 24 hours. What will Poland gain?

The European Union plans to improvement border protection, to be presented on 27 October 2026. The improvement will strengthen Frontex, allowing faster consequence in crisis situations, including sending officers to the border within 24 hours. Poland, in contact with Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, can gain additional operational and technological support. Reforms besides include expanding Frontex's competence to organise return of migrants. At the same time, the Polish Sejm adapts the law to EU legislation, stressing that border safety remains the work of the associate States.
