Ukrainian armed with a metallic baton destroyed cars in Poznań

In Poznań, at night from Saturday to Sunday, from 9 to 10 August. There was a series of vandalism acts that shook the peace of Piastowski settlement. A man armed with a metallic baton ruthlessly struck standing cars, destroying headlights, carriers, and mirrors. Its actions caused a wave of harm – at least eighteen vehicles were damaged, which bear traces of multiple strokes, deep dents, scratches and cracks.

The full situation was noticed by a vigilant resident of the estate, who followed the vandal way from a safe distance and kept the police informed. Due to his fast reaction, officers from the Intelligence Department of the Police Department of the Municipal office in Poznań reached the perpetrator and stopped him in the act. It turned out to be a 27-year-old Ukrainian citizen who admitted his guilt, at the same time incapable to explain the motives of his actions.

Police officers, working on the scene, carefully reviewed the vandal way and confirmed harm to at least eighteen cars. Vehicle owners can study to the Poznań – Nowy Miasto Police Station at telephone number 47 77 123 11 as police officers have already reached most of the victims and losses are inactive being verified. The demolition of property committed by a 27-year-old is provided for in the Polish penal code and threatened by penalties from 3 months to 5 years imprisonment.

This dramatic incidental is not only a communicative of vandalism, but besides a reminder of the importance of citizens' vigilance and the fast consequence of the services. With the witness' attitude, a fearful attack became evidence that the work and support of the inhabitants can effectively support public security.
