In the Glasia Park in Toruń, there was a violent assault with a knife. The unsub is simply a 19-year-old Venezuelan immigrant. His victim – an accidental 24-year-old woman. The punches were aimed mainly at the face. A female is lying in a coma, and Poland one more time has to face the question: how many strangers must cripple individual before individual is responsible?
The attack occurred in the mediate of the night, around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday. A 24-year-old passed through the park erstwhile she was attacked by a Venezuelan armed with a knife of 8.5 cm in length. According to the findings of o2.pl, a man struck a female in the face and head.
“The female is seriously injured,” says Dominic Bocian of Toruń Police. – “She suffered extended injuries”
The victim went to a infirmary in critical condition. He's in a coma. According to the o2 portal, he is inactive fighting for his life. There's a cop watching by her bed.
The immigrant was wandering around at night. Random victim, no motive.
According to forensics, the assailant didn't know a woman. He'd run around the park, choice on passersby. All indications are he was drunk. He acted aggressively until he yet attacked a completely random person. A simple walking female fell victim to an immigrant who should never have been on the loose.
“The attacks are unknown,” the police informs.
But it's only half true. due to the fact that the real question is, who let him come here?
Crime interrupted by a neighbor
The tragedy did not happen on an even larger scale only thanks to 1 man – a resident of a close block. He heard a female screaming, ran out of the home and spooked the attacker. He called the police immediately. His courage may have saved the life of a 24-year-old.
The police responded quickly.
“The conductor has directed all available patrols, even those outside Toruń,” says Asp. Stork. “A 19-year-old was tracked down and detained erstwhile he tried to escape.”
A man is in custody.
This is not the first time a foreigner commits a crime. But after each specified tragedy, we hear the same thing: “Do not generalize”, “it’s an individual case”. The problem is that these "unit cases" are increasing. And it is inactive unclear how many like him are already here – and how many will arrive tomorrow.
Open door policy takes its toll. Polish cities and towns are no longer free from threats that over the years have been the domain of Western Europe – assassinations, knifemen, accidental victims of mad attacks. And all in the name of "tolerance" and "solidarity."
Toruń joins the list of cities that are painfully proving what can consequence in the careless release of strangers. The victim is simply a 24-year-old woman. But the questions should be addressed above – to those who invited immigrants without any safety guarantees. And to those who inactive can't tell Poles the fact about the threat.
