The Council of the European Union approved Regulation on duty-free trade between the European Union and Ukraine for another year, until June 2025. This will be the 3rd period of duty-free import of agri-food products from Ukraine. Cosmetic changes in the regulation do not defend Polish farmers!

This is simply a immense blow to Polish agriculture and industries cooperating with farmers. Farmers themselves number losses and frequently do not see the point in continuing field work. At the same time, farming industries release people. Only from the local yard do I know about more than 350 people who have been fired or not extended contracts, and we have the highest of the period (e.g. CNH in Płock). The beginning of the border to duty-free trade with Ukraine was supported by all parties but the Confederation.
