Three Georgian citizens were arrested by the Capital Intelligence Service for stealing property of considerable value. They were wanted by the Police territory Command Warsaw I for stealing diamonds worth 110 1000 euro, which took place a fewer days ago at Mokotowska Street in Warsaw. Along with the diamonds, papers were besides stolen, EUR 10,000 and PLN 1,700 in cash.
Patrol in underground parking lots
Police officers from the Intelligence and Patrol Division of the Capital Police Station patrolled an underground parking lot of 1 of the Warsaw galleries, where they spotted 3 men sitting in VW Golf and observing the parking lot. The decision to halt the vehicle was made erstwhile the car left the building.
Detention and carding
When the driver and VW Golf passengers were carded, they turned out to be wanted citizens of Georgia. The 50-year-old head was wanted by the Division to fight Crime Against the Property of KRP Warsaw I for stealing diamonds from Ford Focus.
A 29-year-old passenger was wanted by the Garwolin region Police Department for stealing a wallet with PLN 5 1000 and an envelope with PLN 10 1000 from Audi RS6. Additionally, Radom City Police Department conducted a search for a 29-year-old for stealing money from vehicles.
A 3rd detainee, 25, sought the Wałbrzych Police Station. A man and another individual were attacked by the cantor owner, stealing 500 1000 zlotys and firearms with ammunition.
Car search
While searching VW Golf, police found a spike behind the driver's seat that could be utilized to pierce tires in cars. The citizens of Georgia were transported to the Warsaw-Śródmieście territory Attorney's Office, where they heard charges of stealing property of considerable value.
Court decision
The D.A. applied for temporary detention for detainees to whom the court had acceded. Georgian citizens will spend the next 3 months in custody. This decision aims to safeguard the appropriate conduct of the proceedings and to prevent the anticipation of escape from detainees.
Legal implications
According to Article 278(1) of the Criminal Code, theft of property of considerable value is punishable by imprisonment from 1 to 10 years. In the event of complicity in the crime, the punishment may be higher. The decision of the court on temporary detention indicates serious treatment of the case by law enforcement authorities and the judiciary.
