The Spanish Government blocked Talgo's effort to acquisition the company by the Polish improvement Fund. The Polish side proposed a higher amount than a competitive Spanish consortium. Nevertheless, the Spanish government opposed the purchase. Talgo is crucial due to its close cooperation with the Bydgoszcz Pesa owned by the PFR. Both companies are to make high-speed railways in Poland.
This is how equality is presented in European. The Community marketplace is Community until national states see a threat to their interests. It is only a pity that in Poland politicians are not assertive adequate to defend our state.
