In the latest presidential poll conducted by the Pollster investigation Institute for “Super Express” there were crucial shufflings on the political stage.
The study, carried out on 7–9 March 2025 by the CAWI method on a example of 1015 adults of Poles, indicates increasing support for Sławomir Mentzen, a Confederate candidate who overtook Karol Nawrocki, supported by the Law and Justice.
According to the results of the poll, if the presidential elections were held this weekend, Rafał Trzaskowski of the Civic Coalition would win, gaining 37% of the vote. This is simply a two-point increase compared to the erstwhile month. Second place was placed by Sławomir Mentzen with 22% of support, an increase of six percent points. Karol Nawrocki ranked 3rd with 21% of support, noted a drop of 4 percent points.
The 4th place came to Szymon Holownia from Poland 2050 and PSL (Third Road), who maintained his support at 8%. Magdalena Biejat of fresh Left won 3% of the vote, which means an increase of 1 percent point. Grzegorz Braun of the Confederation of the Polish Crown maintained his support at 3%. Adrian Zandberg of the organization Together and Krzysztof Stanowski, writer and businessman, obtained 2% of the indications. The another candidates together won 2% of the vote.
This is the second poll in which Sławomir Mentzen precedes Karol Nawrocki. The erstwhile study, conducted by SW investigation for ‘Wprost’ on 28 February, besides pointed to this trend. In most another polls, however, the PiS candidate entered a second circular with Rafał Trzaskowski.
Experts point out the possible causes of this trend. prof. Bartłomiej Bishop considers that specified a consequence is simply a serious informing to Nawrocki staff and may be the consequence of the emergence of extremist sentiments in Poland, for example in the area of Polish-Ukrainian relations. In turn prof. Anna Materska-Sosnowska approaches these results with any skepticism, suggesting that they may be the consequence of a wave of comments predicting specified a turn of the case.
The presidential elections will take place in Poland on 18 May 2025, with a possible second circular scheduled for 1 June. Candidates shall have until 24 March to submit their election committees to the State Election Commission.
