In just a 4th of a century, the number of mosques in Sweden has increased by over 4,000%. According to the Swedish spiritual Community Support Agency (SST), there are presently at least 300 mosques in the country – compared to only 7 “permanent places of prayer” in 2000. But these numbers are only estimated. The authoritative registry is missing, and it is not known how many of these objects are actual spiritual centres, and how many points where political, ideological and anti-Western influences are spread.
At the same time, the Church of Sweden – historically connected with national identity – lost most of the faithful. Currently, little than half of citizens declare any affiliation with him. Are we dealing with a civilizational exchange?
The expansion of muslim infrastructure in Sweden is not accompanied by any real social control or reflection. The state, based on ideological correctness, gave up any assimilation policy. He doesn't make conditions, he doesn't enforce standards. The mosque can operate in the basement, it can be financed by the Saudi absolute monarchy, it can proclaim content contrary to human rights – and all this happens without the reaction of public institutions.
Instead of supporting integration, many of these centres act as enclaves – socially and culturally closed. alternatively of teaching loyalty to the country, they advance loyalty to the umma, or Muslim community. alternatively of encouraging dialogue, they form isolationist attitudes.
Hundreds of millions of crowns from abroad go to mosques and muslim organizations in Sweden. Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar or Turkey invest in spiritual infrastructure, imam education and propaganda. any of these resources are officially flowing, any informally.
According to the ETC, all 4th mosque in Sweden was built with the support of Saudi Arabia. And we're talking about a country where a female has no right to travel on her own, and apostasy is punishable by death.
How many of these influences permeate into the content of the sermons? How many imams represent democratic values, and how many proclaim the superiority of Sharia over Swedish law? You don't know – due to the fact that nobody checks it.
SÄPO warns – politicians ignore
The Swedish safety Service (SÄPO) had already respective years ago warned that any mosques and muslim organizations could be utilized to advance extremist ideologies. Reports say at least 2,000 people actively active in muslim extremist activity.
However, these warnings are ignored – not only by left-wing politicians, but besides by officials who are afraid about accusations of "islamophobia".
The facts are hard. Among migrants from Muslim countries, specified as Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria or Yemen, a crucial part of them has not taken up work for years. In many districts – Rosengård, Rinkeby, Tensta – the Arabic or Somali language dominates and Swedish is treated as a abroad language. Girls are forced to wear hijab in simple schools. Young men praise Hamas and hatred the West.
Instead of assimilation, a generation grows that mentally lives in another planet – and does not necessarily want to adapt. Tolerance on the part of society has no effect – on the contrary, it is frequently perceived as a weakness.
In 2017, Muslims accounted for 8.1% of the Swedish population. present this percent is surely higher. Forecasts presume that by 2050 it will exceed 30%. 1 in 3 citizens of the country may be a follower of Islam—a religion that in many cases does not separate between the spiritual and political spheres.
W Sweden does not gotta registry mosques, disclose sources of backing or a curriculum. The state pays – but does not ask. It finances – but it does not control. By default, he assumes good intentions, even erstwhile facts point to the opposite.
MSB and SÄPO inform that abroad regimes usage mosques to build influences among diaspora. But these warnings stay without consequences. Meanwhile, the parallel strategy is slow developing in Sweden – with its own authorities, its own law and its own imagination of the world.
Is there a way back?
More and more Swedes ask themselves: where did we make the mistake? Can the process of Islamization of society be reversed? Can you integrate people who don't want to be integrated?
Without extremist action, specified as:
- prohibition on the financing of mosques by non-democratic states,
- compulsory transparency of spiritual organisations,
- control of teaching content,
- emphasis on assimilation, not just integration,
Sweden can become a state that will discharge itself from Western civilization.
