The ban on the promotion of alcohol prices or restrictions on packaging are the solutions which will be included in the draft fresh law on sobering up and counteracting alcoholism by the Ministry of Health. At the same time, the fight against e-receptive drug crime is lacking.
"We seal the rules that had a gap," said Minister of wellness Izabel Leszczyna at a press conference on Thursday, referring to the issue of selling alcohol in tubes akin to the packaging of fruit muses. She said that the solutions would be included in the draft fresh of the Law on Sobriety Education and Anti-Drugism.
"The packages where alcohol is sold must not match those in which products for children's consumption are sold," said Leszczyna. She added that alcohol should not be sold in packages that propose that it contains anything another than alcohol. "They cannot pretend to be yogurt, fruit mousse, anything," she stressed.
There is besides a ban on the promotion of alcohol prices in the draft fresh on raising sobriety. The Minister of wellness pointed out that after changes it would not be cheaper to buy in a package of 2 bottles of vodka than separately. Another solution assumes that in case of uncertainty about the age of the individual who wants to buy alcohol, the seller will be required to request a paper confirming the age of the buyer. “I am convinced that this will be a stronger recipe than the 1 that is,” said Leszczyna.
The government's actions amaze the scale of the anti-alcoholic crusade, while at the same time passiveness towards Poland's plague of drugs. Especially since the increase in popularity of opioids observed in fresh years is related to decisions of the Ministry of Health. According to data from the Ministry of Health, only this year a full of 6 tonnes of medical marijuana will be imported to Poland, but the ministry requested by Isabella Leszczyna wants it to be 10 tonnes. request indicates up to 20 tonnes per year.
However, e-recepts can besides give you much more dangerous specificities. In November 2023, a 19-year-old resident of Poznań was found dead from an overdose of fentanyl. It turned out that the “ zombie drug” that decimates American society is besides easy available in Poland.
In consequence to these reports, the Ministry of wellness announced the introduction of a "opioid monitoring system". Experts point out that even if the thought does not come to an end at the announcement stage, it is not adequate to halt the tragic consequences.
