The 81st anniversary of Ukrainian genocide by Ukrainians, including the CNS and UPA, on Poles from Volyn and east Małopolska, is ahead of us. Throughout Poland there will be various celebrations and commemorations of Polish victims.
This will besides be the case in Jelcz-Laskowice in the Lower Silesian province. Where the local Patriotic Association Sokols Unit operates commemorating the Conspiracy Scouting Sokols Unit, which operated in the territory of Oławski from 1950 to 1952.
The association deals with volunteering, nurturing Polishness and the improvement of national, civic and cultural news. Protection of material and intangible cultural and national heritage, activities for the benefit of the combatants and those repressed. It commemorates crucial events and people in the past of the Polish nation.
On 10 July in the chamber area of the Municipal Culture Centre in Jelcz-Laskowice at 6 p.m., the exhibition of the Institute of National Memory in Wrocław will be unveiled. Exhibition dedicated to Polish border activists who appealed for memory and fact after the murdered Poles in Kresy. 2 symposia will then be held, which will be given by Dr. Michał Siekierka, “The genocide in east Małopolska on the example of Huta Pieniacka”. The second of the speakers will be the chaplain of the border groups, vicar Fr Grzegorz Kopij. He will give a lecture entitled “The Marian Sanctuaries of the territory of Czortków”.
During the full event, you can see the papers of families from the localities who lived in the Kresach region, a magazine will be available on Outworld. The audiences will be able to acquisition book publications on the subject of genocide and endings from publications in Prawo.pl and Nortom.
